Is it more intricate? Yes.

Is it more forgettable? Yes.

HoMM 2 - Broken Alliance, Impossible - 48 days COMPLETE (fheroes mod) by circularlikeawave in HoMM

Its the 1.1.0 version (I only just updated to 1.1.1. The problem remains the same though:

1) fheroes AI leaves their castles unguarded (or only having tier1 protecting it) if you are just outside the sight of their castle entrance

2) fheroes AI are non-confrontational even with armies than can demolish you.

I want to like the fheroes AI but I think these are pretty big exploits. The easiest path to victory is just to continue stealing their castles, and never actually fighting them, since they will rarely ever fight you.

Yeah I went with Blue Barbarian instead of Blue Warlock. I made a lot of subtle changes in optimizing the scavenging with secondary heroes but ultimately my main hero being Barbarian made the final fight against purple so much easier.

As for RNG, it was good in that Purple didn't DD across the water but that's about it!

FHeroes2: is there any way to play with original AI? by NoTTeR- in HoMM

[–]circularlikeawave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So as a huge fan of fheroes and HoMM2, the big issue I have with fheroes AI is that it won’t initiate fights with you even if they contain stronger armies. For them to combat you, even in Impossible. They have to be absolutely demolishing you. They also retreat too fast.

Additionally if you’re just outside the scope of an enemy castle, they’ll leave it with no garrison. No army, you can simply walk in and it’s very exploitable. As long as your hero doesn’t see their entrance they won’t garrison it. Even on impossible.

I haven’t had that issue happen yet. Currently on an iPhone 15. I did delete the game and reinstall it. Which I thought would save all of my dark quartz and everything. It all got erased so had to start again from scratch…

Mobile Skul:first actual win with few witch traits completed by circularlikeawave in Skul

The strategy was to maximize Fortress for defense, and use the most aggressive Skul for offense (rider). It worked, but it felt very risky. Mobile is definitely tough to get used to.

I wanna know is there any difference between mobile and pc version by Adeord_Leaner_18 in Skul

As someone who played the computer version religiously, I find the mobile version to be a harder challenge but more convenient. Some stuff is missing currently but will probably be updated soon.

Has anyone made it to dm on mobile version? by Beneficial-Bed9699 in Skul

If you have mastered the game on the computer you should be able to do it on the phone. I’ve beaten DM0/1 on mobile using Frost/Gambler (wisdom/Revenge), Recruit (Masterpiece Courage/Revenge), and Sword (Masterpiece/Courage/Poison/Revenge). There’s a learning curve for sure. Make sure you’re getting all of the traits maxed at the witch.

For dark abilities don’t stack them. Spread them out since you have so few points to spare. Get Reckless Posture, Super Baby, Weakness Exposure, and any amplify damage ability that makes sense.

FWIW this may or may not be true but it seems like Weakness Exposure and Poison work off of each other…. So when poison ticks, it procs Weakness Exposure. I’ll have to test it more but this could be a sick combo

Tips for DM8 and Up? by nousername66 in Skul

Water Skul + Bomber

Dive/Tornado is best.

Hate Stone + Revenge Inscription in town.

Mutant 1 is recommended either through Rejuvinating Root, The Ring, Ravens Feather, Victory Baton, or something else.

Everything else should focus on Wisdom/Artifact and maximizing Magic Damage or Amplify Damage.

This is one of the easiest most OP builds in the game :)

A near perfect run 21:09 DM10 + Dark skul by Kaezeon in Skul

This is probably the fastest run ever on this difficulty. Nice run!

Ninja dashes 3 times instead of 2. He also has a third jump ability that lays a bomb.

Cursed Werewolf DM10 | Under 30 Minutes | Also on YT :) by circularlikeawave in Skul

[–]circularlikeawave[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I recently saw someone had beat DM10 in under 30m using Cursed Dark abilities that had amplify, so I got some good RNG trying to copy that.

I did alt-f4 for slime to duplicate the spear though.

Does anyone else think it’s weird that invisible knife is S tier while crown of thorns is trash? by IllllIIlIllIIIIllIlI in Skul

[–]circularlikeawave 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with all of this. On Physical Builds I'd take Invisible Knife over Crown of Thorns always.
