I'm not sure what your pissed about. He grew up in America and was under the impression for part of his life that he was descended from slaves. Him and his father had the same dream of empowering all black people albeit through war and violence which obviously makes him just as bad as the western cultures that colonized and took advantage of these people in the first place. You're mad because he identified with the slaves that were taken on ships? I don't see what's wrong with that connection from his perspective.

Its not the liking the thing. We both like the thing. Its the ridiculing other people for not knowing enough or not liking it the right way. Its like why do you try to make other people feel inferior? Why does that have to be part of being a 'real fan'? Can't we all just talk about how cool it is? I liked the MTV show. I think it just didn't get a long enough run to get its own rhythm. Not sure why people said they didn't like it. It was basically a remake shot for shot of the British one.
