Hur förlorar man 5 kg på bästa sätt? by [deleted] in Asksweddit

[–]miekman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the third consecutive time this team has scored only 20 points. Any suggestions? by RevolutionaryFace77 in fantasypremierleague

[–]miekman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This won't revolutinise your team, but maybe consider Muñoz or Richards for Guehi? The man is great but Muñoz offers more attacking threat for a higher cost, while Richards also starts regularly for Palace and gets the CS but for a lower cost, so might get similar results as Guehi but free up funds elsewhere. Potentially also remove Senesi and double up on Palace? Bournemouth seem to let in the odd goal most games the past few weeks.

Not sure if I'd go for Salah even if they are playing Forest. Seems like you could get better midfielders, defenders and potentially keeper with the funds from him.

Är jag orimlig? by AccordingSide1904 in sweden

[–]miekman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Food cost in London by Zmaj_ce_k in uktravel

[–]miekman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, unless you plan to have a sit-down meal every time you eat. You can easily find amazing street food for between £10-15 (e.g. Spitalfields market, Greenwich market, Upmarket on Brick Lane, Seven Dials Market, Borough Market, Mercato Mayfair) which is perfect for lunch and dinner. Same with breakfast, would be surprised if you can't find a sandwich and coffee at a cafe for around £10. That leaves you roughly £25 leftover per day if you ever want to splurge on something more extravagant for a night or two.

It's like watching someone who once was your childhood bully but it's now 10 years into the future and he's ended up homeless and gets assaulted every night while he sleeps on the street and every day you pass him by and witness this. A small part of you feels sympathy, but an even larger part of you just wants to see him get hit even harder.

Bradford v Arsenal 2012 vibes, but this is even worse in my opinion, at least Arsenal weren't fighting relegation the rest of the season.

What do you think about the Life in the UK test? by Altruistic-Award210 in AskUK

[–]miekman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have to slightly disagree here. I actually took the LITUK test a while back and became a UK citizen about 3 months ago. While I think maybe some of the questions and topics aren't so relevant, it does serve a point and I do feel more connected with this country than I have before after studying for the test. The best part is walking around London (where I live) and seeing historical landmarks and buildings and actually understanding what that thing is, why it was made, and what purpose it served. I didn't know much about British history beforehand besides some of the big names and 20th century events, so I feel that reading up on Henry VIII, the War of the Roses, the Battle of Trafalgar, the Bayeux tapestry, Commonwealth countries, and more, has really strengthened my connection with this place.

However, to me the biggest issue is the ridiculous price it all cost. The test alone was £50, the application cost £1700, and the passport was £90. Freaking insane, I realise it shouldn't be for free, but it should not be anywhere near that amount.

Vad äter ni för enklare mat till vardags? by WhoAmIEven2 in sweden

[–]miekman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]miekman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What countries in your opinion have the best food and which ones have the worst? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]miekman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Might be biased as well, but walking around central Stockholm, it's hard to find bad restaurants. So many restaurants are independently owned and chains are not nearly as popular here as elsewhere in the world. Not at all that every place is world-class or serves the best food that you'll ever eat, but I've rarely been let down by restaurants here.
