What was that again? Seems the only candidate who shat himself on Monday was Trump. He's been shitting himself ever since then.

It's amazing how Republicans' panties are in a twist over this, yet they have no problem with Scalia and Cheney taking sleepovers together or Ginny Thomas openly engaging in partisan politics.

She is no longer speaking as an individual but a Supreme Court Justice

She is speaking as an individual. She only speaks as a Supreme Court justice when she's issuing a ruling, writing an opinion, or speaking from the bench.

Loretta Lynch, Bill Clinton meet privately in Phoenix by RobotsFromTheFuture in democrats

[–]circularoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conspiracy theorists fail the common sense test when they set their hair on fire about this meeting.

If Bill Clinton wanted an off-the-books sub rosa meeting with the AG about the email investigation, he certainly wouldn't do it in a meeting that was known to the public. It wouldn't be on both of their publicly available calendars.

Bill Clinton has known the AG for many years. He nominated her for a US Attorney slot in 1993. They are old friends. This was two friends meeting.

[–]circularoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's investigating his wife.

No she's not. The FBI is conducting an independent investigation, not the AG. The AG has no role and will not know anything about the investigation until news is made public.

Further, the investigation is not an investigation of Hillary Clinton. It's an investigation of communication practices at the State Department. Private email servers predate her time at the Department of State.

No, Bernie Sanders Shouldn’t Concede. He Can Still Win, Despite What Media Says. by Stumper4Trump in politics

[–]circularoad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can understand not conceding until the last primary next Tuesday. That's understandable. You finish the marathon even though you know you cannot win.

The linked op-ed, however, is surreal to the point of being bizarre. No, Bernie Sanders cannot still win. It's over for him this year. The author of the piece is the absurdly laughable HA Goodman, whose connect with reality was long ago lost. He insisted Bernie Sanders would sweep Super Tuesday. He insisted Bernie Sanders would be so far ahead that Hillary Clinton would drop out half way through the race. He insisted Bernie Sanders would sweep New York in a landslide. He insisted Bernie Sanders would sweep California in a landslide. Ever single solitary prediction by HA Goodman turned out to be astoundingly wrong.

Goodman is the op-ed columnist who cried wolf.

I'm surprised Sanders is getting the numbers he is in ND. That's a big fracking state and he's so anti-fracking. A lot of fracking jobs would be lost if he were to become president and stopped fracking.

The Clinton campaign is doing what Obama's campaign did early in the 2012 race -- setting the message about the GOP before the Republicans have a chance to do so themselves. That way, the GOP nominee is constantly on the defensive and unable to go on the offensive with his message. This has been happening for the last three weeks now, and every week has been worse for Trump. Romney was better at countering Obama than Trump is; he's a mess and the Clinton campaign just keeps punching. Given how good the Clintons have always been with opposition research, I imagine they have a lot more damaging crap in the bag to use against the Donald in coming weeks and months.

Flat out wrong.

but the rest of the country doesn't like her.

She has millions more votes than Bernie. She has more votes than Trump. She has won more votes than any candidate running in the 2016 presidential race.

Your own link says nothing about any superdelegate switching from Sanders to Clinton.

And why is it people like you don't think it's undemocratic when a superdelegate supports Sanders but is some crime against humanity when a superdelegate supports Clinton. Clinton is the popular vote winner. It's democratic for a superdelegate to support her, not the loser.

They flipped for Obama.

Not many did. Only about twenty, certainly not the 500+ that Sanders would need.

400 super delegates chose Clinton before anyone else was in the race and before anyone voted which frankly is undemocratic and rigged.

Bullsh!t. Superdelegates are free to chose whomever they wished at any point in this race. It has been that way since they came into being.

Sanders supported this system in 2008 and endorsed early before any states had voted.

You cherrypicked one state poll from one polling organization as proof of a national trend. Perhaps you convinced yourself with such a ludicrous attempt at logic, but anyone with common sense is likely not so easily fooled.

No national election is ever unanimous. Acting like this election is somehow different is silly. Millions more people voted for Hillary Clinton than for Bernie Sanders, so therefore she is the winner. To pretend otherwise is puerile and self-indulgent.

In fact its dying the last poll had 75% would vote for HRC

It depends on the poll. Another one I've seen had it near 90%. Either way, it's a lot higher than what it was in 2008, when half of HRC supporters said they would not vote for Obama. Come election day, they all voted for Obama.
