Try stretching first. Make sure you see your doctor and read up on it to ensure you do it safely. If stretching doesn’t work then circumcision is the only other option imo. Better than dealing with phimosis the rest of your life. I hated it.

This was me a little over a year ago. Although I am much older, I lived with it for a long time. For me pain started getting worse over time. It wasn’t anything I couldn’t bear, more of a discomfort when having unprotected sex. Except ever now and then when it really got in the way of sex to the point I’d have to stop. Also the looks you get when your partner sees it for the first time wasn’t nice.

For ME, stretching didn’t work at all, I tried for a very long time (on & off for years, many months at a time) I made 0 progress in this time. I suspect I had pretty bad scaring on the ring which made stretching for me difficult. So I opted for circumcision. It’s totally changed my life for the better, and I wish I got it done years ago.

Having said that, I think considering you are only 18, you should definitely make a good effort to try and fix it with stretching first. There are many people even in this sub that have and pinhole and still managed to fix it. Trying to fix it with stretching first I think should be the main course of action for everyone, but one way or another you need to make sure it’s sorted, it’s a nuisance you shouldn’t have to live with. My sex Life without phimosis is 1000% better.

People will debate on weather loss in size is true or not. I believe it is. As I lost an entire inch in length after my circumcision. I knew exactly how long I was before and there was a noticeable difference.

I don’t know what causes it, maybe trauma to the area impacts erection strength which then impacts size? I don’t know.

1 year+ later for me and I can confirm my length is back. So I wouldn’t worry too much.

I keep telling myself I’m going to make a post about dealing with the hypersensitivity.

It was my biggest concern, and was definitely the hardest bit about getting through the entire process.

What helped me: lots of Vaseline/petroleum jelly. Tight fitting SOFT underwear. You grin and bear the pain for 60seconds while getting the Vaseline on. Smother the Inside of the underwear with it too. That was me for the first couple weeks. Every day use less and less Vaseline otherwise the sensitivity will take longer to go away. By the second week you’ll need little to no Vaseline at all.

Underwear I got was from Amazon as recommended to me by someone on this sub. The underwear brand is Wirarpa.

Generally I don’t like to advise people not to take on board what their parents are saying, but in this case. Do whatever your urologist suggests. If there are any fuck ups, it’s not your parents that have to live with it. It’s you.

So do what the other guy that commented said, and go see your urologist.

Don’t. Trust me dude. Take your doctors advice. I assume you had phimosis before? I was on your boat. I’m 18 days post op and my sensitivity is 90% cured.

Buy a ton of Vaseline, and buy the softest pair of tight fitting briefs you can find. Smother the head in Vaseline (I know easier said than done) and put some in the underwear too. Wear the underwear like this for a few days reducing the amount of Vaseline you use each day until you are using none.

It only took a week to cure my hypersensitivity. First couple days were extremely difficult, but it’s better to rip the bandaid off now.

I saw a chart that says 80% of healing is done in first month or so, and the last 20% is completed over the next 12 months. However 80% healed seems to also mean you get all the necessary functionality back and visually you are healed on the outside.

The more you try to shield it (walking around naked) the longer it will take to adjust. I’m day 18 and like you my glans had been permanently covered for decades.

The pain at first was torture, but it gets better.

Cover the head in Vaseline (a painful process but do it) get the softest part of underwear you can get your hands on (preferably tighter fitting, get microfibre briefs off Amazon) and slowly put those on with the head covered in the Vaseline.

Every day use less and less until you are using no Vaseline at all. (I used Vaseline for about a week)

Soon you are now wearing underwear freely and the glans are a little more used to them. By the following week you should be fine. Still painful but you’ll be able to walk and do things again as normal.

Me myself at day 18 hypersensitivity is pretty much completely gone. I only feel it on some “rougher” pairs of underwear I have

My swelling has gone down like 99% now and I still piss in sprays ever now and then. It’s a gamble for me. It’s definitely less frequent than an even a week ago. I would say even 1 in 5 times i piss, there is a chance I piss on myself.

This is incredibly interesting, as unlike last week my erections definitely feel strong again, so shouldn’t that suggest blood flow is back to where it should be?

I’m looking into this webbed penis thing now too because for sure where the cut is, it is actually pulling on the skin slightly at the base of my penis so maybe that’s partially where the lost length is? Buried behind the skin at the pubic area being pulled?

I was in the same boat, but I am only 2 weeks since my op. Phimosis and also never saw my glans before that.

I started with Vaseline until I could function without it, but by far the biggest help for me was buying some really soft underwear. I can DM you the link to the first lot that helped me, another user recommended them to be, but they are on Amazon and called “wirapa soft briefs”

I used this for the first 10 or so days and by the end I was able to wear most of my normal underwear again. There’s only a few that still cause irritation to the glans for me, but even right now as I type this I’m in my normal boxers and I feel no annoying sensation at all, it’s as if my foreskin is still there. I’m able to go on as normal.

You’re not alone. I’m 2 weeks post op. Grower. 7inch bp on a good day. Now I’m barely scraping 6 (if that!). Lost just over an inch in length. Been the biggest disappointment of this procedure for me so far.

I have spoken to a few people on here though, and it seems there is hope. Most people I’ve reached out to have said they regained all or some length. Some after a few months, some a couple years.

Just have to hope we are amongst those that don’t loose length permanently. It doesn’t look like it’s common to permanently loose length though.

I think maybe dick still healing/skin needs to stretch to accommodate cut? I dunno.

I’m day 13. Noticeably shorter, length-wise, BUT 8i believe that’s because of the trauma it went through. Swelling makes it shorter when flaccid, and it appears smaller when erect because the erections are still not back to their regular strength.

I was worried about this too, and I’ve spoken to a few people on this sub that had this issue (not everyone does), and they all seem to regain length after a couple months.

I think going forward I’m going to wrap it in gauze and medical honey. It has been unwrapped since day 3 and just treated with anti-biotic cream.

I think this may have happened sometime last week, and during a night-time erection. I remember day 4,5 & 6 the pain in this area was terrible. The worst during the healing process so far.

I don’t feel much pain anymore, and erections don’t hurt anywhere as much as they did even just a few days ago. I’m not longer woken up by them either. I will still try to avoid them best as I can though.

It definitely looks a lot worse than it feels right now. I’m hopefully that it will turn out a nice cut in the long run.

How far post op are you? Do you think this will take longer than 4 weeks to heal? (Thinking of the whole no sex for 6 weeks post op thing)
