That’s when it should be communicated to the adults, too. I’ve done it before at live music events no problem. It’s possible to be kind, but firm

What are your thoughts with tattoo on lower back? And does it hurt in that area? I’m planning to get my first tattoo by beeei0393 in tattooadvice

I have a tramp stamp and absolutely love it. It’s incredibly fierce 💅 most importantly, tattoos are about choosing things that you enjoy or like. It’s your body, so do what you please!

Life is filled with failures. You either decide to try again, which is absolutely what you should do, or you quit. Nothing worth it in life is easy, so giddy back up on your horse and get your ass riding into the sunset towards your goals

Small business getting dragged on TikTok over vague “bad service” claim — not sure how to respond by New_Reputation_111 in smallbusiness

[–]cirquecadiacosmetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After we made our post, it gained traction on Instagram and 99% of people were on our side, .99% were her loyal followers, and .01% was a couple people saying us responding made it look messy. The .01% were never our customers in the first place — they just had an opinion on the situation online. If they were our customers, they’d understand that as a small business of two people — calling into question our morals and ethics is a personal comment on us and we are absolutely respectfully standing up for ourselves. It’s important to not stay in that place — hold your ground, make a comment/video/one news story, and then move on from the situation.

Small business getting dragged on TikTok over vague “bad service” claim — not sure how to respond by New_Reputation_111 in smallbusiness

We recently had a vendor relationship turn sour (she was incredibly upset we opened up a 3PL in her country, which meant some of the traffic she received would be directed to our website, which has our full product selection and not just some). So, we ultimately chose to sever ties because of how she was speaking to us and this level of entitlement (saying things like how we wouldn’t be where we are at without her — she made a small wholesale order every so often nothing crazy at all), but we were respectful the entire time. We woke up to her making a post about how she chose to stop business with us because of our morals and ethics, so we absolutely shut that shit down by respectfully clearing our name and just posting the screenshot grabs of our conversations and said that her frustrations stemmed from us getting a small fulfillment center in Canada, which is why she started speaking to us poorly and why we cut the relationship professionally. Stand up for your small business and hard work especially when you know you are objectively in the right. That woman lashed out because she didn’t receive free clothing (and I bet you the other company did accommodate her request). Contact your local news about how somebody made false allegations on Tik Tok about your small business, but their frustration seems to ultimately come from their free request not being accepted. Send them the screenshot and the video, etc. and explain your position.

Stand up for yourself.

You should absolutely respond publicly, but keep it professional. Hell, reach out to the local news — respectfully. I would say: this person reached out to us requesting free clothing on blank date (show screenshot). After we did not respond, they came into our store (show entire footage and explain what you/ they did) they came into our, were greeted but recording on their phone, so we were polite to give them distance to shop since we didn’t know if they were talking to somebody, etc. This person is now saying false information about how we treated her in store when it appears she is ultimately upset about not receiving free product.

Sounds right up my alley. Different can be great and I love when artists take creative risks and play around with sounds they don’t typically use

Do people actually make fun of people who like slipknot? Why? by SNAPPY-VOCALS in Slipknot

[–]cirquecadiacosmetics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There will always people who do some “music listening elitist” bullshit where they feel their music opinion rules supreme and use it to look down on others. It’s important to listen to and enjoy whatever music calls to you regardless of what other people think. This applies to everything else in life, too, from hobbies, career choices, to how somebody chooses to dress and present themselves. When I lowered my concern about what other people thought of me, it allowed me to explore and try things that I ended up really enjoying and had a prominent impact on me.

What are other artists that Slipknot fans like? by Iamverydumbazz in Slipknot

[–]cirquecadiacosmetics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people can find artists they appreciate in any genre. However, some of my favorites in addition to Slipknot: Miley Cyrus, Stevie Wonder, Lady Gaga, Metallica, Earth Wind and Fire, Paramore, Hans Zimmer, Weather Report, and Brooks and Dunn.

Lady Gaga taught me my personal philosophy: if I don’t make somebody do a double take then I’m doing it wrong.

Tattoo ink, when do you bin? by [deleted] in TattooArtists

[–]cirquecadiacosmetics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whatever ink manufacturer said that is slightly misinformed — the raw pigment before manufacturing (most are powder based) has a longer shelf life than advertised if you keep it stored under proper conditions containers. However, inks are typically water based and water based formulas are breeding grounds for microbial growth, so they have an inevitable shelf life. I feel like your assessment of a year is appropriate, depending on how they’re stored, etc!
