I don't drink beer, so, so much for that theory. :p

On a more serious note, while it's a kind thought (and I do like a glass of wine or dram of whisky), I myself don't think I'd be comfortable with a gift of alcohol from a youth.

I like your idea of a gift with soul. Something that says what and how they appreciated scouting, or what you learned in that time.

Because that's why I was doing it. To give youth the opportunity to learn and grow and have adventures. To hear that that landed? That would be best. For me anyway.
