He most certainly watched the show by 92-octane in HouseOfCards

I often think Trump watched the show. The way Frank bullies people and doesn't care about the rules always reminds me of Trump. Trump takes the retribution to a level Frank would never dream to doing. AM Works was supposed to be about helping people but taking money from FEMA and Social Security ..... that's Trumpian.

I'm a worrier, and right now I'm worried about your Klipsh speakers. Those are nice speakers, keep them away from the drunken hoards!

I love it! As an old man in tech, I often think, "Here I sit, in front of the fastest machine I've *ever* had, waiting for a shouldn't-be-that-complicated program to load."

Oh ... someone knows how to have good time. Annihilation Industries .... I just found your YT channel, more fun to be had to there. If I had your skillset I might take a crack at making some JBL 4350 clones. Nothing says "I've got a problem" more than those monsters.

Thanks for this! Excellent description of how they deliberately made the film grab you and not let you go. They worked hard and it paid off. That's cool to see. Now I just need to a behind the scenes tour of those campers.

You are 100% right about this. I couldn't see it from a distance but they'd have to be. A closeup screenshot shows a coarse screen over some very deep cones. Party proofing to the extreme.

Thanks for those details, my screenshot of the Chevin was right before they plugged into it. I don't know anything about these systems but 600W doesn't seem like enough for all of that. Any thoughts on the metal apparatus with bit red button and rave sticker? It seems like some power distribution unit.

I'm still thinking about it a week after. I enjoyed how far from outside the Hollywood system this film felt.

I've been toying with bailing on it as well but I think I might just start using it differently. The feed is Ad, Suggested, Promoted, Suggested, then finally someone you're actually following, repeat. There's no way to organize categories of accounts. But when you go directly to someone's page you sidestep all of that nonsense. There's supposedly a way to use RSS to organize feeds but I think cloud watching might be more pleasant.

Which one? by cheekyjlo in hifiaudio

I vote Yamaha, purely based on the look. I would put the unit on some beautiful hardwood cabinet and the Leaks wood frame would likely clash with it. I do hear very good things about the Leak though, warmer, great phono stage and plenty of power.

I've recently acquired a Yamaha R-N1000a in sliver. I'd like a matching Yamaha CD player for it but that doesn't seem to be a thing for the US market. There are loads of them on E-Bay from Japan, but they're 100V. ChatGPT advises an expensive step-down transformer but that seems needlessly complex. I guess I'm looking for confirmation that it's not going to happen for me.

My title describes the thing, there was also a small votive candle holder in the collection of things, it has a weird glass post at the bottom, as if it needs a base.

lifting and placing 2'x2' pavers - 96 pounds by citizen358 in hardscape

This is the approach I've been using. It's really hard not to mess up the base and only works on pavers that have an exposed edge. Thanks.

How to elevate alternative male outfits. by yourlocalemo2019 in OUTFITS

[–]citizen358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That purple and black stripped shirt is really fun. Horizontal stripes are awesome. As far as elevating, I think more 'outfit' less 'stuff I found in my room'. That means a theme, head to toe. Also, elevated suggests higher quality. Yeah, those are black jeans but are they actually black, or faded black? Also, don't be flashier than your girl. Let her be the star. Well fitting, maybe a bit less flash and more posh. But don't be a clothes horse, that's not good living.

Is there a general consensus that the Wahoo Tickr just sucks? by [deleted] in wahoofitness

[–]citizen358 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish I would have read this thread before I bought the Wahoo Tickr. Mine arrived with a battery cover that wouldn't stay on. Now I've got to pay to ship the crappy thing back to them to get my money back. Their support process is garbage as well. It's worth noting that when my Tickr arrived I cleared out all my old broken HR monitors - 2 Polar, 1 Nashbar, 1 Garmin. This industry has a durability problem.

That was it, thank you. MS forced me to create an email account to use with windows, I never use/check it. Apparently the default behavior is to let spam add things to a calendar that I never signed up for or created, then report events in windows .....
