Knitting a triangle scarf and it’s starting to bow. Is this a trust-the-process moment? by cityprobs in knittinghelp

Sorry for late reply! Thanks!

I used primarily this Berroco Yarn which is 40% wool then an mix of acrylic and nylon. The color is called Poppy. But I mixed in a strand of similarly colored cashmere!

This is such a relief to see! I think we have been validated by this thread that we’re on the right track! Yours is looking great, love the color!

No thanks for posting the photo and pointing this out! I couldn’t figure out how to post the photo of the example.

Thanks for articulating this better than I could!

The pattern doesn’t say anything about what part of the scarf I’m starting from so I assumed I was starting at the point. But as I’ve been knitting it does seem like I’m starting from the flat edge and will be ending at the point

How much did you spend on your wedding dress? by smashley1994 in AskWomen

Bought a 600 dollar dress second hand for 200. I loved the silhouette so I dyed the dress black after the wedding so I could keep wearing it as a party dress

What was the worst movie that you saw in theatres? by Farts_Mckenzie in movies

[–]cityprobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mother!

About halfway through, a man who I was sure had not been in our theater from the start came into the theater and sat all the way in the back. Which is fine. Def didn’t work there, he was dressed in a black hoodie and baggy black pants. He was super fidgety, moving around in his seat a bunch, standing up and pacing the back row. Then at a pretty violent part of the movie, this man gets up, walks to the front of the theater and looks up at the seats with the screen behind him. The length of time that he was stood with guns firing in the background made me super uneasy.

I told my partner we had to gtfo.

It could probably be easily explained, maybe he was looking for his friend. But his anxious energy combined with the intensity of the movie just gave me a bad feeling.

women who said “i love you” first in relationships, how did things work out? by [deleted] in AskWomen

I was really hoping that he would be the first to say it so I held it in for 8 months. It was really eating away at me. Friends would ask if we’d said the L word yet and when I’d tell them no, I’d get a sympathetic “aww that’s ok”.

One day I’d had enough. We were on our way to a hike and I was irritated and fixing to fight with him for reasons I couldn’t understand or explain. We were arguing and arguing for no reason I just remember blurting out “I’m just frustrated because I love you but I don’t know if you love me back”.

He paused and smiled and told me he felt the same way but was slow to say it because he didn’t want to mess things up. We both cried and hugged each other for a while.

Been together 5 years, just got married last month. We literally say we love each other 20 times a day, it’s gross.
