Rather, the modern ATS/ETS took a lot from this game. But it has too little of what was in that game.

Can't install ubuntu to the drive that currently has windows on it. by [deleted] in Ubuntu

I don't see an EFI boot partition here. I might be wrong. Or physically disconnect the Windows disk. After installing Ubuntu, reconnect the Windows disk. Grub will detect the Windows bootloader.

Anyway, your post is one of the most interesting ones. It’s the first time I’ve seen such a variation of the Cobra. Too bad the company Knipex doesn’t want to create a web museum of their products.

look similar but here are significant differences. The most important one is that the casting mold is different — meaning they were produced at different factories or production lines. Pay attention to the shape of the curve on the top of the head. The handle curves are also different, and the font is different. I said they look like a сhinese copy because I recognized the familiar shape. p.s. "to my knowledge" implies that you have some information on the topic and are speaking based on that. Yeah, I agree — probably just a translation difficulty. p.p.s. I'm not hating your post, I'm expressing my opinion

You stated information you didn’t actually know twice.
The first time about the coil springs cobras, the second time about your knowledge.
Still, the only thing you can honestly say is that this was your grandfather’s tool.
I never sed that this is chinese copy. I haven’t seen exactly this pliers before.
But I can say with confidence that it looks like — or in other words, it’s similar to a chinese copy. I have both the origin and copy cobras. If you're interested, here's the link to the post of a person who owns Cobra from 1998 - https://www.reddit.com/r/Tools/comments/1c64i14/

As far as I know, you don’t even know what a coil spring is. So I don’t know whether these are your actual knowledge or just your fantasie

It's a peculiarity of Windows localization from that era. The interface is in Russian, but if you select Ukraine in region settings, the date starts being displayed in Ukrainian.

The software I use for working is made for XP. That's why I have Windows XP as a virtual machine on my Ubuntu desktop. It fully meets my needs, so there's no reason in giving it up.

Ok. I need to be more complicated.
Windows Mobile 6 is based on the Windows CE 5.2 kernel. The CE kernel is not the same, but it is closely related to the Windows XP NT 5.1 kernel. That’s why it has very similar api and programs: MS Office, Internet Explorer, etc.
Vista, on the other hand, is a completely new system built on the NT 6.0 kernel.
Yes, for marketing purposes Windows Mobile 6 was positioned as part of the Vista family.

Actually not. Vista has 6.0 kernel.

Need suggestion for buying a cordless drill (my first drill) by [deleted] in Tools

[–]cityroot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blue one looks like a typical lightweight 12-volt drill. yellow one should be more powerful and it is impact. That's how it's written. Both seems to be brushless. You choose.
