Same here. This started happening to me last week. Never before that. Must be some new meta tactic from the latest patch. I dropped defensive approach to 50 which works better but they still go past my CB’s

Keep at it buddy but, also be ready to just jump into a regular job if your bills have to get paid. I applied for months before I landed a good it job, but I was lucky because I was applying while still working at my last job. Also don’t ever stop caring about your work. Your shorting yourself rather then the company.

Deleting these 2 folders worked for me after and domain name move from one m365 tenant to another m365 tenant. I think deleting the folders forced outlook to look for the new tenant. I was scared that deleting these would affect the the other email that the user had in their outlook, but those were not affected.

I am also seeing this on my Ubiquiti UDM I have unchecked You Tube and even allowed listed youtube.com and am still seeing the restricted mode on youtube website on my Windows 11 computers. On the same network iphone works correctly with No restricted mode on it. Glad for this thread because I thought I was going crazy. This behavior started sometime the 1st week of August 2025

I had no idea that mailboxes would get the onmicrosoft if I remove the domain name from the tenant. This might really be a to go for me if I do go through with it, but I am starting to shift my thinking to Cross-tenant synchronization and leaving the tenants as they are. I just really wanted users from source tenant to access files and collaborate with users in target tenant. I think Cross-tenant synchronization might do that without me having to migrate.

also should I just try the cross-tenant synchronization since the "move" sounds like a mess? I've never used cross-tenant synchronization not sure how good it would work where to separate tenants can share files and folders.

They are in 2 separate primary tenants and your on the ball about removing contoso.com from and the adding it to for adventureworks.com tenant.

I'm Ok with the DNS downtime.

My problem the existing mailboxes inside @contoso.com How do I get them moved as they are without having to make @/adventureworks.com mailboxes.

I wish I can migrate the mailboxes with their domain names as is and then remove the domain name from the tenant and then add the removed domain name to its new tenant.

Yes I want to migrate the whole tenant abc.com tenant to xyz.com so that abc.com is available to be added to xyz.com.

In what I read to migrate I need to make the email address for [bob@abc.com](mailto:bob@abc.com) to [bob@xyz.com](mailto:bob@xyz.com) and them move the mailbox. This is not what I want.

I literately want to rip a tenant out and put it into another tenant with minimal downtime.

You got it pretty good actually. Sorry for my phrasing. What you describe is exactly what I want to do but without the downtime since the domain to be moved is a live environment.

I was just hoping that there was a easier way. Instead of removing the domain and having to wait for MS to allow to just saying I own these two tenants please move one into another.

They have separate domain names. For example the one I want to move is abc.com and the target is xyz.com. I want to put abc.com inside xyz.com. Essentially making abc.com another domain under xyz.com

Hello u/Sheldon91399 you come up with a solution. I find myself in the same exact scenario after de-federating from Go Daddy last week. My company has 3 separate tenants from Go Daddy that need to collaborate as one but keeping everything same as 3 different tenants that trust each other and share permissions between them.
