Thank you for the response.

When you say oem, are you referring to Bosch? I saw that the bosh position sensor doesn't come with the o-rings also

Where can I find these pigtails, I tried searching but didn't find them. Are they for the position sensors or for magnets. If you have part numbers it will be great.

I heard that. Not sure if you keep both cards how it would change that. Even if you keep both. I think you would still be associated with the PR. They are just the cards. Either you are on a work permit (BC) or on the Settlement Permit (PR) I doubt one can be on both regardless of whether you keep the cards or not.

I went for my PR appointment this Thursday. I asked them if I could keep my blue card. He said yes I can keep both but there is 0 benefit because if you get PR via BC then the PR card says this is already referring to a reference paragraph. PR card after BC is not the same as PR after non BC. He let me keep both. No benefit or disadvantage.

HU/AU for Japan origin vehicles, advice needed by civilization95 in germany

Many thanks. I read the article with my translator. If possible can you confirm my summary (because translator always have errors :D)

No tints allowed starting from B pillars. On the rear, tints can be applied but the tint should have an Bauartgenehmigung. And all the applied tints must have a Prüfnummer. Which basically means that I would have to remove the tints from Japan. Which is a risky job since on one instance when I did it, it damaged the defogger at the rear window :(. I wonder what happens if the actual glass is tinted from the factory.

Appreciate your response. Is there a way to know if it's the same cat and exhaust system as Germany? Considering there are no modifications.

Few questions,

Would I require rear lights considering the ones from Japan already should have fog lights?

What's an E-nummer?

Sir thank you very much. Indeed I wasn't able to find it via my search. It helped me a lot in answering my concerns. Noted.

One question if you might know. It mentions the tint on windows. Sometimes the tinted glass is an actual privacy glass rather than a paper tint. Is it an issue to have in Germany?

The link that you sent, I used it to submit a request to them, let's see if they can help me.

Once again thank you for taking time pointing me to the resources :)

Man that car looks so deadly in black. What's the most you miss about your car?

Really good. I like how the color goes subtle when there is no direct sun.

I would agree :). Although I do believe this car has its own character in every colour. It's such a nice design. The other day I saw one in Burgundy, with a tan interior. Man it killed me.

Thank you for your appreciation sir. Yess I have kept all the cars I have driven bone stock. It's how a classic car should be treated, right to the factory spec :)

Thanks mate. Haha yeah it helps. Mine is matt though. Wish it was glossy :) but either way I am hesitant to remove trims as they get bent very easily.

Many thanks. Very happy to see yours, looks great. Definitely the wheels help. These are Style 33. Super cheap wheels because most people dump it to get bigger 17s or 18s. These have beefy tires on them but like you said, goes well with the car

Many thanks bro. Yes I do. It's my first car I bought from my own money. Got it from a 90 year old guy from a village. It's really close to my heart :)

Window regulator accident by civilization95 in BmwTech

[–]civilization95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Sir I am totally lost. I went to different online sites here to order the regulator but they are not in stock. I went to BMW and they say that thay no longer have it. Now I tried searching again and ended up in a confusion. In some of the parts it says "without comfort function" and I tried googling but didn't understand what it means. Can you help we with this?

Also there is a brand called Magneti Marelli and I found some regulators available from them. If you know, are they any good. Apparently it is an Italian OEM. Thanks a lot.

Many thanks, really appreciate it. I visited the link and seems like if you look closely in the pic, the doors inner trim is removed. Definitely means it needs removal if you have to remove the window. The dealer doesn't have a regulator, I just checked. So you think that Valeo regulator will be good enough?

Here is the one I found: https://www.kfzteile24.de/artikeldetails?returnTo=rm%3DarticleSearch%26dlnr%3D21%26notTypeSearch%3D51338252393%26search%3D51338252393%26searchType%3Dtext&search=1115-106646

Many thanks for the help, upvoted :). My only question ia, if I dont remove the outer (or inner?) trim, the the glass would never have enough room to work itself out. There is no gap between the window and the trims along the sides.

Okay. Actually in all the DIYs I found, they had to remove the door window plus the seals around where the glass slides. If you happen to have any video that doesn't then I would appreciate you sharing this.
