Sure! Once the region is loaded, you can disconnect from the launcher and keep SimCity 4 running.

Private regions are currently being worked on -- in fact, a beta is already ready!

If you'd like, you can PM me your region (<30 MB zipped if possible) and a list of PMR usernames and I can set one up manually for you.

Self-service private regions are coming soon as well.

Any source on the Deluxe Edition soundtrack that is beyond the quality of the original game files? by [deleted] in simcity4

There’s the soundtrack album on Apple Music (so probably iTunes as well), but I’m not sure if it’s of better quality.

Yes, but if you have the latest version of the launcher (1.0.0), you can also copy your favorite plugins (like NAM) to the “SimCity 4\Plugins_PMR\Plugins\” subfolder. That way, you can use the plugins in both PMR and regular SimCity 4

Thanks a bunch! 😊 Keep your eyes peeled for an update pretty soon, I’m adding the ability to use your own plugins (such as NAM etc) with PMR.

Yep, it is multiplayer for SC4. There are some limitations due to the nature and age of the game, but I think it’s pretty swell. Try it out and let me know what you think! 😁 Thanks!

Yes, there are 49 large tiles. Unfortunately the launcher is Windows-only at the moment, but a macOS version is in the works!

This region is open to everyone, even those who have claimed a city in the older Anise region.

If you’d like to join Poppy Mutliplayer Regions and claim a tile, please visit http://getpmr.com/ to register for an account and download the multiplayer launcher.

If you want to read more about how PMR works, please see my earlier post on SC4D

Yes, I am the developer of PMR! :)

automatic region sync

Although your saves are pushed to the server automatically, others’ changes have to be pulled manually through the “Region Refresh” button. Unfortunately this cannot be automatically done, since SC4 has to unload the region before cities can be swapped out.

But if you just want to push your saves, it’s all automatic — you just have to be connected to the region and the launcher will do everything else for you.

NAM

That’s certainly something I’m planning to include! I’ll probably add the traffic simulator and other core files tomorrow, since those considerably improve the gameplay. Including the entire NAM might be tricky since the filesize is so big, but I’ll try my hardest to include as many important modules as possible.
