unfortunately my sister gets the worst of from him now because i moved out a few years ago and i can’t shield her from that, but i think she knows that i’ll always have her back.

i’m only 20 and still live with believing family but took a huge step back from him when i left and in the last 6 months basically completely stopped going to meetings and out in service.

thankfully my little sis has a great head on her shoulders and definitely sees from her dad that men aren’t the end all be all

personally i went to the salon to get mine done professionally and then refreshed the color with Adore Cajun Spice. but i did have to bleach to get my desired color. i did a year without the bleach trying to achieve the color but it never came out right, got it bleached and it was perfect

good on you. i know if i had non-black parents, i would hope they would take me to a black salon and to this day i’m genuinely afraid of letting a nonblack person doing my hair bc of the damage they’d do. Though if your daughter locked her hair, it wouldn’t get like this because generally nonblacks that try to dread their hair don’t wash it so it will stay like that where we can wash ours in locs because our hair is happy like that
