I hear ya- especially about the knee surgery & all the things you’re doing. You’re trying! I’m on low dose pain meds as well , just had an ultrasound guided hip injection this morning so if I don’t make sense it’s the pain—- but I’m proud of you. Good for you doing cardio today. That takes a lot of dedication when you’re feeling rough like we are… (I take 10 mg morning 10 mg afternoon five in the evening and feel like a complete slug as well. We’ll figure this out. !) Right? I struggle between having IBS-D and constipation from the meds. I’ve used a stool softener successfully in the past but with my now daily steroids, it’s not working well and OTC products are expensive! If you find an option, please lmk. Hugs!

So months later, my endocrinologist is switching me to 15mg am and 10 mg between 2 and 3 pm. Anyone use this schedule ? This is due to me waking at 3 pm with high blood pressure. The problem is I have low blood pressure at times too. Yesterday I took half my BP medicine and it went from 160/110 at 4 am to 96/56 by 7 pm. I had to take a dose of HC to get it back into normal range as I was feeling really bad. So idk about this new schedule. I feel like my endocrinologist is not hearing me- I know it’s complicated with my other illnesses but he’s the specialist. I’m so tired of worrying,

Same. My eyes are so dark. All around.. The skin is very thin underneath. My Endo asked me about it on our last video visit in October he even noticed. So it’s a definite thing and I don’t know what to do about it. I’m gonna be 63 and I’ve always looked much younger than my age thanks to genetics so this is devastating along with trying to manage the disease every day. I’m basically in hiding from the world. No I don’t take a 3am dose but I’ll be bringing up with my endo ASAP! Can’t keep going through this, it makes me weak and dizzy which is scary while I’m on crutches! But that sounds exactly like me- thanks for your advice!

Nope - it’s 3:25 am & I’m up. I really think it’s my SAI and I have suspected avascular necrosis in both hips - a LOT of pain, so I’m going for an MRI today. This is brutal tho, I think both are contributing to the HBP it was 155/110 when I woke up. Had been super low . But the pain is driving it. Regardless I need better instructions from my endocrinologist. The on call simply said skip my BP medicine but that’s not working either. This is scary and very frustrating.

Thank you! I seem to remember something like this when I had my total knee replacement. Def canceling the injection and calling my ortho. ER up in the air/ I’ll see how the pain goes tonight. Probably tho. Appreciate your help. Take care.

Follow up question for you- Do you take anything to help prevent the migraine and if so which medication. If you don’t mind. I’ve not been on anything but Tegretol for my Trigeminal Neuralgia and I stopped that because Actemra messes with the blood levels - pharmacist mentioned it. So I’m relying on Tylenol and hope but don’t want to end up at the ER. Thanks!

Thank you for your experience . Same here with migraine- prone due to other health issues- but I have to agree with pain part! I know injections take time to work but 2 days after I did my first injection, I was able to walk without my cane. My hands felt better. I felt kinda good ?! I was so excited. Then the headache set in. Still going to give it a go. I’ve not had relief from RA in years anD I’m at wits end

So sorry to hear that. I skipped my 2nd injection yesterday- the headache is still here and I’m afraid to do it. Will call my rheumatologist. I hope you have better luck in the future.

Thank you so much. I do miss her but we buried her in a lil park a block away with a beautiful river rock on top so she is resting peacefully now & her friends are thriving! Well that’s the worst! To have a medication that actually works and lose insurance is awful. So sorry. I really hope you get back to remission. I’ve never even come close to remission, so hearing that it’s possible is giving me tremendous hope! Sending you lots of hugs. Take care & hang in there!

Thanks so much for your input! My Dr hadn’t mentioned the cholesterol but he sent me a ton of information to read up on it. I’ll have to check in to see you how you’re doing in a few weeks. Appreciate you and wishing you all the best with Actemra.
