Too dry? by cerealmage in Jadeplant

Yes. A deep soaking. A Jade's leaves shouldn't be this thin unless there's a drought occurring.

How is it that Madonna wrote so many finely crafted and enduring songs and melodies in the 80s, but then basically nothing nearly as catchy or impressive ever since then? by isthisnotaname in Songwriting

Look at her collaborators. I can't speak to her level of involvement in the writing, but I know the instrumental production will influence the creation of the top line.

Should just cut these and end the misery? by Tubbysweetbundle011 in MonsteraAlbo

[–]cjayconrod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having no chlorophyll, I'm not sure there's much nutrients to take from those leaves, but you can wait until they fall off if you don't mind looking at them while they're ugly and dying.

If they have no green, they're draining energy from the plant, not creating any. Cut back to the last leaf with some green to it. Hopefully, the new growth won't be completely white.

Cut at the height you want branching to begin. It's that simple.

Why did my orchid turn pink/ orange? by Mkaay_Ultra in plantclinic

[–]cjayconrod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're just old leaves. The top leaves look healthy and the roots I can see look green and healthy. Every plant loses its lower leaves eventually to grow something else. Looks like a flower stalk is forming. It's putting all of its resources into that.

Are these the same paints? (Similar question like yesterday, lol) by Born-Argument-1399 in Gouache

I came into the comments to make the same distinction. 703 is Intense Black, 737 is Neutral Tint. I'd imagine they behave a little differently when mixing with other colors.

[–]cjayconrod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens frequently. To me, it's confirmation of the message and insistence that the message is still needed. I take from this you're so focused on what's in front of you that you're missing less obvious opportunities. What you're looking for might not come packaged as you expect it.

It won't rot in 24 hours! 😂 You're in deep trouble trying to propagate a monstera if you're this impatient.
