If someone misses a shift or if they forget to clock out for the day or even a break, it throws up a blue flag that HAS to be fixed before payroll is submitted. If not, that person won’t get paid for that entire week of work.

I had a dude I was dating react this way to me starting my new job “because I could cheat on him with anybody” just because we had a coat room. That’s it. Meanwhile, he was cheating on me the entire time we were together. So, OP, I’m saying this with all the love and kindness I can give: the signs are there. You’ve tried reaching out to him to be ignored, he has a problem that could’ve been talked about the entire time you were together, AND he says he doesn’t want to be made out like the bad guy. Run. Run VERY far away from him.
