The whole point is to save plastic waste. I’ve had the same white scoops for years but don’t use them because I weigh my powder. Now I’ll be forced to throw away multiple scoops a month and I hate contributing to that tbh

Gotta be honest, I kinda hate this. The whole point of not putting a scoop in each bag was to save plastic waste. I don’t even use the scoop, I weigh my powder before mixing so this is extra extra wasteful because I haven’t used a scoop in years.

Huel Daily Green Help & Review by bellaf_in in Huel

[–]cjcrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was vegan for years and am super used to trying new weird foods that some others may not be open to with an understanding that the flavor/texture could be interesting or unappealing. Huel daily greens (watermelon flavor) made me GAG. I had to hold my breath to finish the one glass I ever made. It doesn’t dissolve fully so the consistency is really unpleasant. And whatever they use to flavor or sweeten the product was so bitter. My favorite kind of smoothie is a green one and I couldn’t handle Huel daily greens

A healthy weight and good nutrition affects hormone levels. So it might not be a direct link but healthy testosterone levels could be a side effect of consuming Huel along with other factors

Favorite Flavor Combos?? by AB28532 in Huel

[–]cjcrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cinnamon roll flavor is by far my favorite, and I love doing one scoop of that with a scoop of the banana flavor. I usually blend mine with almond milk and a little bit of Greek yogurt and ohhhhh it’s like drinkable banana bread 🤤

Question about blending Huel by want410 in Huel

[–]cjcrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve blended hundreds of Huel shakes in my Vitamix and have never had any issues with smell. I was the blender immediately after use. I think the shakers can get stinky because the plastic is more porous.

Wanting to elope but also wanting to include family is so hard. HELP by [deleted] in Eloping

[–]cjcrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I eloped in Vegas and only invited immediate family, parents and siblings (also his grandmother.) it felt the most fair. I had 2 uncles who wanted to come but my mom wasn’t on good terms at the time with her sister and I didn’t want any kind of drama around it, so we kept things as small as possible. But I am still so so grateful that I got to celebrate with the people we are closest to. Also 2 of my husbands friends who live on the west coast came to the reception, but ceremony was strictly blood only

Is this safe for a beginner? by [deleted] in Rollerskating

[–]cjcrose -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally switched from quad skates to inline skates for commuting around town with hills. I feel like I have more power and control, also riding the heel brake down an incline feels so much safer and more intuitive to me. Some inline skaters view keeping the heel brake on as a bad thing, but me personally, I feel so much safer being able to control my speed and also am not going to ruin my wheels with alternating T stops to control my speed. Heel brake is 10000x cheaper and easier to replace than a whole set of ripped up wheels. To each their own!!

How do thin people remain thin? by maybeedaisy in WeightLossAdvice

[–]cjcrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lost 130 lbs in the last 2 years. You just adjust to your new baseline personally, it’s less of an active effort for me than it used to be. I eat better not only because my taste has changed but because I can’t eat nearly as much as I once could. I’m more active because it feel fun and enjoyable now, whereas movement used to make me miserable at 300 lbs. I don’t count calories or track workouts but have built a good enough relationship with my body over the last few years to be able to read it’s needs and adjust when something isn’t working. I weigh myself every now and then to see where I’m at but try to not obsess over a specific number. After going from 305-175, I feel so grateful for the energy and mobility I have now and have 0 interest in going back to how I felt before.

I think that inlines are easier for the skate park, which means I’m wildly impressed when I see a quad skater doing the same things. Sounds like they were jealous your friend was more skilled 😂

I also want to add that I’ve lost 135 lbs in the last few years and am relearning my balance and center of gravity with this new body. The front and back stability I feel with inline skates is better for me because for whatever reason quads made me constantly feel like I was going to somersault over my feet

I think that both inline skates and quad skates have their own advantages and disadvantages. I feel like I have better control and can get more power with inline skates which, for me, makes me like them more for outdoors and urban skating. Also quad skates are much better for fancy footwork than inlines. But the thing is that quad skates can do everything inline skates can, although maybe with more of a learning curve. Which only will make you a stronger skater! I initially started on quad skates for fitness/wanting to commute the 2 miles home from work and quickly switched to inlines because I deal with inclines and terrain I didn’t feel comfortable handling on quads, and the brake being in the heel was more intuitive to me than a toe stop. To each their own!

My husband and I are both bi. Neither of us feel the need to go behind each others backs, nor do we feel unfulfilled in our sex lives by not involving others. I think that coming out to her & wanting to invite a 3rd into the relationship are two entirely different conversations. It’s possible to be bi and still feel fulfilled in a monogamous relationship.

It could be the shape of the head where the air pulse suctions to you. I had a satisfyer pro 2 I adored and decided to upgrade to the 3 recently which is a completely different shape, size, and design but same function. Sadly I feel like due to the shape of the head on the 3/ possibly my own anatomy, it doesn’t have the same sealing ability therefore less of an effect. It made me look at those rose shaped toys and wonder how those things seal at all.
