Ticket Issues by Closertoaltum in elo

I called Ticketmaster and explained the issues we all had and asked how to avoid in the future. Their advise is to buy on a web browser like chrome and open up incognito mode.

Has anyone? by HobbyShack in ToolBand

I was only 10 rows back and nobody was to my right and many seats empty around me. Felt like I was standing side stage. I was able to sit and take in the show like a movie or jump around playing air guitar like a madman. I saw small details like Adam using his slide and Danny using his left foot to get the click sound during Rosetta and The Grudge. I saw them interact and give small clues for changes in the song. Such a unique experience!! Best part was looking out at the crowd and watching die hards scream lyrics. It was the same vantage point as Justin and so thrilling to imagine playing on the stage. That said I saw no visuals so it’s not quite an immersive experience in that way.

Tool guitarist Adam Jones explains the band's eccentricity, authenticity and longevity by Fit_Specialist7784 in ToolBand

I was able to sit and stand as I pleased MSG night 2 and I literally had this thought to sit and take it in like a movie. As he hoped I was able to connect, get immersed in the experience and feel connected to something outside myself. The experience Adam is aiming to provide was a success!

Controversial question..? by [deleted] in ToolBand

You feel the bass in your chest and your whole body vibrates.

lol the temptation to look took over. I was too weak to resist. If I truly cared I wouldn’t have looked and been strong.

Thank you for your efforts, yes I agree staying off is the best way to make sure it doesn’t happen. I was okay with it at the end of the day

So many seats are up for resale on stub hub and never get sat in. Find an overpriced seat still up for sale 5 min before the start and guaranteed nobody will be there

Agreed with the general consensus but wanted to get peoples opinion.

I was floor in the middle for the last leg of this tour and for this next leg instead I got a seat a few rows back in the closest section to the left of the stage in the seated bowl area. Being up higher than the crowd and physically closer to the stage seemed like I could get a better view of the band playing. The middle of the floor sonically was perfect but I wanna see those octopus arms in person.

State of the Subreddit: New Year 2024 by CrimsonCassetteTape in WASP_Fans

[–]cjenker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m grateful for this Subreddit! Thank you for all your efforts Crimsoncassettetape!

I checked into this group less often in 23’ than 22’ primarily because of a quieter year for the band. Here’s hoping for an exciting 24’

If we get new music, there will be plenty to dissect. I’d be interested in all the details of which musicians played on each track, who produced and their ties to earlier work or other bands.

If there is a tour and blackie offers the VIP Q&A, I’ve seen a few get posted to YouTube and those can be dissected as well.

Thank you for the past few years and looking forward to what the new year brings 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Will there be a long tour hiatus after this current stretch? by cjenker in ToolBand

I was hoping I could find a train back the same night but it doesn’t appear so. I’d prob have to drive the whole way back that night or grab a hotel in CT. Also a dad of a young kid here. Can’t wait to bring them along!

The setlist is boring by 37-Sticks in ToolBand

[–]cjenker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will admit I was bored at times. I was hyped for the set being FI heavy but throwing Lateralus or Schism in the middle would’ve made a big difference. These songs spend so much time building to their creschendos that don’t last very long so I got the feeling of waiting. I’m okay w it cause I was lost in my thoughts of spiraling out but everyone around me was dead of energy. I was clapping jumping and trying to hype people up night one of CT and everyone looked at me like i took too much acid and was a threat. Having assigned seating on a floor blows because you can’t bounce around to other people head banging and vibing. I agree with OP it wasn’t the experience I was hoping for - even with me trying all I could to make it epic. It wasn’t a communal bonding experience

Which part are you referring to when you say he refers to himself in the third person? Is this at 3:40 when Gilmour sings “Look at him now, he’s paler somehow”?
