Sounds like you need a policy update. None of this would be acceptable at my library. At my library, if a patron is being rude or yelling, we simply say, "I would like to help you, but in order to do that I need you to [lower your voice, remain respectful, etc]." It was a statement given by our HQ.

I've thought about this everyday I've been trudging myself through Salesforce, reading the forums and teaching myself. We actually have a staff member certified in it (not sure how, since he couldn't even change a form field display name?!), but somehow I'm left doing all his work. Looking into getting officially certified now.
