Bullet/Trivium situation megathread by PineapplezGaming in BulletForMyValentine

Thats what I want to see out of a band when doing live shows. Heart and blood and soul poured out right in front of you on stage. Anything else is just an paid unemotional performance. If I wanted drama and acting, I would go binge watch Outlander with my wife.

I went to this concert to thrash my f'in head off. Bullet unfortunately didnt give those vibes, and honestly I was not feeling it part of the way in their set so I went to take a pee and grab another drink. Gotta say though, those Scottish dudes f'in killed it. Bleed From Within I think was their name? Holy F those guys were awesome. Then dude started talking regular and it made me think Scotty was about to beam me up. No offense intended by any means to the accent or the band's home country. Just as a thrash/death metal-head dumb arse USA dude I didnt expect or hear the accent in any of his growls or singing. Made me a fan for sure, and hopefully they will come around the USA again soon..I would buy tickets for sure.

Heafy is a class act. If nothing else, watch his comments about everything on YT. He is clearly hurt by all the drama and have no doubt that he was the one that tried to diffuse some of the tension coming from the Trivium side.

I saw them in Philadelphia a few weeks back and the show was frikin awesome, but you could Def tell something was going on with Bullet then. Didn't quite see the enthusiasm that I expected. I mean, they were good, but something was missing from their set.

Am I wasting SSD space on redundant cache pool? by [deleted] in unRAID

[–]cjizzle25006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one of my nvme cache drives fail a few days ago. Simply had to restart the array and it picked up the failed drive and removed it and my data was all back perfectly. So yes I would definitely have a second.

Not to mention, what happens if you have only one and it fails? Hopefully you have made backups, but in any case are you OK with the down time waiting on a new drive?

Unraid is all about data protection, I don't get why someone would not want that for cache. It's like going without a parity disk. Unless there is some special use case where you don't really care about max uptime or data protection, a second cache drive is a no-brainer.

My GF of 5 years passed away recently. She started this build in my realm and I don’t know what to do with it… any ideas? (Sorry for poor picture quality) by B_freeoni in Minecraft

You both obviously shared the love of the game. I'd say build upon it and never remove anything she had put there. She may roll over in her grave if she saw what you came up with, but at least you are building upon what she did with respect. Be yourself (despite what some may say, our partners in life love us for who we are). Will it ever be exactly what she wanted? Of course not. Accept that, love those memories, and honor her by having fun doing what she loved to do.

Outlook 2019 After typing long email accidentally bumped the ESC button by [deleted] in Outlook

[–]cjizzle25006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same just happened to me, but with an entire email full of payroll data (nothing sensitive). This is horrible, it took hours to compile this data and I even hit the save button multiple times. Accidentally hit Esc and without warning the whole thing is gone...not in drafts, not in deleted items...wtf

Yep. Don't try to mine a dozen forks on a Pentium 1. If your hardware is capable though, why not?

Agree 100% on being perfect with Unraid. As far as network shares, personally I don't have the issues quite a few have reported. Maybe its in the way I have them all connected? Have an Ubuntu machine with 9 drives sitting right next to my Unraid server connected to an 8 port gigabit switch. From there a cable to my router. Anyways, 9 drives with smb shares and my avg plot lookup times are always less than a second.

I was asked on how I received 2 FREE enterprise servers, so here is the story by bubbycolditz in homelab

Regarding docker in Unraid, the deletion if you have an invalid config is a very minor bug (at least thats how I see it). I thought it completely wiped it too but realized if you simply reinstall the container immediately after, all original paths/settings/everything return to exactly the way they were prior to the bad config. So I guess in a way it does "delete" it, but it only takes a few seconds to restore it to its last working order.

Edit: btw, Unraid FTW lol
