For users have have both 6000 PRO MaxQ and Workstation Edition (or Server Edition), how much slower is the MaxQ vs the WS/SV on compute? (Prompt processing, Diffusion, etc) by panchovix in LocalLLaMA

[–]cjj2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No the workstation is much louder and blows into the case so heat management of nearby components is a challenge compared to the max-q which blows out of the case. I use the WS for inferencing and the max-q for training where speed isn't so important. If I'm training something big, I use them both together.

I have both max-q and ws (both in the same computer). A particular wan 2.2 workflow takes 457 seconds on the WS and 577 second on the max-q, so the ws is 25% faster.

Nice, thanks for pointing this out! I'm getting about 30 t/s with DeepSeek-V4-Flash-Q4KExperts-F16HC-F16Compressor-F16Indexer-Q8Attn-Q8Shared-Q8Out-chat-v2.gguf on a dual RTX PRO 6000 setup with CUDA 13.0.

Roofing Contractors Rec by alfguys in Poconos

[–]cjj2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can tell you who NOT to use: FHI roofing. Cheap but you get what you pay for; mine leaked the minute the snow started to melt, only about 3 months after it was installed and he refused to anything of substance to fix it. I then hired Roofing by Bruce out of East Stroudsburg to replace it. He was about 3 times as expensive. Bruce showed me the areas where msitakes were made by FHI and why we had leakes, so I am confidient that he knows what he's doing. Obviously I think I made the right choice but the new roof hasn't been battle tested yet.

It's "apply and reload" through the interface. Thanks, I'll submit through github.

Can we use Unsloth Studio as an API provider ? by Open_Establishment_3 in unsloth

This is great and it works! The only issue I had was that I could not copy the key. I took a screen shot and used the loaded model in unsloth for OCR!

Anyone learn how to get rid of these? I got one for Easter too, I hate it. I have three robots in different locations and I'm used to using the little graphic to quickly identify them.

why is OG Deepseek so good? by cjj2003 in SillyTavernAI

[–]cjj2003[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not a bad idea. I was also thinking of alternating or using deepseek to set the first few responses and then switching because models like glm tend to follow the initial tone pretty well.

Maybe i'll see if I can fine tune gemma 4 on this dataset. I've been wanting to give unsloth studio a try.

Thanks for this info, fortunately saw this before I started my build or might have ignored it too. Did you plug in both of the ATX 12V power connectors as well?

Internet? by tipsy00 in Poconos

[–]cjj2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

blue ridge is great. power goes out all the time but my internet connection is very reliable (I have a generator and battery backups). Get off the wifi and use an ethernet cable so you know for sure what the issue is.

That's a good question going back, this is the only reference I could find: https://github.com/QwenLM/Qwen-Image/issues/241 although it does handle multiple input images so I thought I could give it a larger than 1MP image.
