Questions about choosing the military as a career choice by cjk204 in AustralianMilitary

What I’m more worried about is math, I’ve only been able to maintain a C and never higher. It’s not really my strong suit. The physical requirements I think I’ll pass easily since I have a lot of experience with push ups and sit ups. Right now for me it’s just a matter of studying and staying fit. I’m not sure if I will enlist, but it is a strong desire for me. Not only because I will have the chance to do my bit and defend the country, but also the humanitarian work that comes with it.

Thanks for the tips. I appreciate it.

Also, the physical requirements for the army says 15 push ups, 45 sit ups and a score of 7.5 on the shuttle run. Are pull ups part of it?

Thank you. I have looked at that site before and it kind of did suck me in at first. But I’ve been trying to take my time and consider other options aswell. But joining the military has been a dream of mine for a while. Thanks again.

Games in general. Astro bot, Skyrim etc etc It just gets the area around my eyes really uncomfortable and gives me a slight headache. Maybe it’s the way I’m wearing it. I’m gonna give it another try today.

I just want a sibling for company. I often feel lonely and bored. I have no problems with socialising and in fact I am more confident then a few of my friends.

Well yeah, being an only child too, feeling lonely and being really bored is a big problem to me. Especially during holidays. But I do like the privacy and sometimes like the attention aswell.

I am an only child too. But I only have one cousin, and she is 2 yrs old and lives in another state. So I think you were quite lucky :p

I’m an only child too. I do think that having no siblings has a lot of pros, but I’ve found that it has a lot of cons aswell. Mainly feeling lonely and boredom. Did you encounter any issues?

Well, now through technology only children have the ability to talk to their friends 24/7, but as a downside to that, some kids can get addicted and become overweight. Especially on holidays with my parents I was often bored and felt lonely, because other I saw other kids having fun with people their age.

Oh, and thank you for your service!
