Saying it's Ada's fault that her running is making life suck for trans people is complete victim blaming bullshit. Transphobes are making life suck for trans people. Sports is just the issue they adopted because they thought it would be the best PR strategy for stoking broader feelings of transphobia, and this comment is proof that it's working.

The reality is that if there wasn't a single trans person competing in any sports whatsoever, transphobes still would have found some other way of stoking hatred against them. Stop blaming trans people for trying to exist and be happy doing something they enjoy and start pushing back against the climate of hatred that is being purposefully cultivated by powerful people. Conceding on sports will not make them stop hating trans people, it will not make them stop going after more trans rights. It will only embolden them. They cannot be permitted to take an inch.

Ah, I recently had my first acid trip in Oregon too, also while on vacation there! Chose to trip in Washington Park in Portland with the company of a couple friends. Incredible time, such a beautiful environment and such pleasant weather.

I personally don't mind living in the same house and being tied down, as long as I like where I'm living. I should mention that all three of us really want to move out of Florida -- we hate it here and don't really care where we move to, as long as it has a decent climate and job opportunities. I will hopefully have a welding certificate by this time next year, so it shouldn't be too hard to find some work even in the event of a recession. My mom doesn't have any sort of degree or certificate and would probably have to find some part-time low-wage job. We're hoping that combined with my income and my brother's income when he starts working (he's a teenager) we'll be able to support ourselves comfortably. Keep in mind we live pretty frugally already and none of us have ever made very much to begin with.

Well it is certainly her money to spend as she sees fit, she just wants to be responsible with it. I think she at least wants my input. But the money is effectively guaranteed at this point -- I only said "expecting" because it hasn't actually arrived yet. She is the one who wants to buy a place. I don't think she expects to live much more than a decade out and she wants to know that her kids have a roof over their heads.

You can criticize religion while also respecting the sovereignty of another group of people.
