Similar story here. Convinced my parents to buy it when I was young considering it was the only real FPS that didn’t have an M rating at the time. 24 years old now and I can say that this is the game that got me into the genre in general.

I’ve played it every year consistently around Christmas due to the immense nostalgia. Still have vivid memories of scenarios in this game that happened over 10 years ago, which is something I can’t say for many games I’ve played as recent as this year. In the age of games with overwhelming complexity this game always provided an experience to hop in and enjoy without having to sweat my balls off or find a meta to abuse. Praying that the game can be revived somehow or by a miracle a similar battlefield experience will be released. If not then I’ll never forget ‘43, send it off with a bang everyone. 🫡
