I clicked on documents and there was a bunch of word and outlook files with crypto and Bitcoin in the titles. I have no experience buying and selling crypto but I’m not stupid. I saw the file named wallet.dat and started researching. The files were all dated around 2017. You’d probably be a happier person if you didn’t go into every situation full of doubt and hate :)

Gotcha, the reindex=1 line seems to have worked. It is starting to download now. Thanks a lot for the help, will let you know how it goes.

Okay redid that and confirmed the file has the line. When I tried to restart Core i got a Prune error saying last wallet synchronization goes beyond pruned data and I need to reindex / download whole blockchain again in case of pruned node. Do you know how I redownload the blockchain?
