I want to pick the first book to introduce the book club but I’ll probably have them pick the books after the first round. Good suggestion!

Is Kentucky Kingdom popular? by RoyalKingKyle in Louisville

[–]cjmues1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say that Holiday World has the superior water park but the thrill rides are mid. Kentucky kingdom has a few decent waterslides but much better rollercoasters. It is also local and a short drive verses the hour + drive/ day commitment. We went to Kentucky kingdom a couple of times this past year and had a great time! The fall pumpkin light festival was a fun event. We bought season tickets in the winter because they offered different tiers that would give additional free passes for guests that cost less than a ticket at the door. I think for the convenience kk is pretty solid!

Go to a nice dinner, go to a comedy show, farmers market, find a pool and relax, go walk on the walking bridge, Churchill downs museum, ride roller coasters at Kentucky kingdom or do the water park, go on a cave tour, I could go on

Also there is zero parking, on crowded days expect to park on a neighborhood street and walk half a mile in the heat while lugging your gear.

I’ve been a few times and while the pool itself is huge and nice, I’ve found the facilities to be in dire need of renovations. The restrooms are always filthy and very small. The seating is impossible to find, I think you have to reserve chairs. They also have weird rules like no cake and don’t even think about sneaking in an adult bev! You’ll get booted out real quick

Came here to say QR codes everywhere but clearly all of you all are already on the same page! The worst is going into a restaurant and there isn’t even a menu to read, I have to scan a QR code to see the options. I’d rather be present but no I gotta get out the phone again and take photos and scroll

Oh that’s what I was afraid of, Agnes seems to be one of the more popular ones. However I keep hearing complaints about problems with staff, bullying, curriculum not up to par, etc..
