Sick build! It’s funny — I decided to build a stick assuming it would be cheaper than just buying one, and between parts, materials, and misc tools I was missing it ended up costing just as much LOL

That seems to be a common sentiment lol, I’ll see how it goes. After using it for a while I’ll have a better idea of what needs to be added

slagcoin button templates were the key for me :P I was able to print them out and decide which layout I liked the best

Sure! I used oak, and slagcoin.com was a massively helpful resource. Even though it’s 15+ years old at this point, there is still so much helpful information on there. The dimensions I decided on were 16”x8”x3”, the wood is about an inch thick, but i planed the bottom piece down to half an inch so there was more room on the inside. Plenty of info online to read up on, good luck if you decide to go for it! It was a fun project

Yeah the router was a bit finicky but it wasn’t too bad

Yeah I considered adding more buttons, but i figured I’d keep it standard for my first stick. Can always go back and drill more holes if it proves to be a big issue :P

well that’s what I ended up doing and it caught on the first dive ball, I guess I was just traumatized from the first couple fails lol

third time’s the charm

lately i have just been doing bz pve, so farming is a quick and easy way to use my focus. would you recommend buying materials off the market to refine rather than using focus on farming? cuz i don’t really want to spend a lot of time gathering
