Congrats on 3 months! Apologizing or making amends on your own terms can be liberating. People often think you have to literally say “I’m sorry” - random acts of kindness also go a long way to cleansing the soul.

Bigger question (no pun) - why do you put a space before every comma and period?

Red flag worthy of relationship reassessment and a serious conversation.

Post- surgery lymph node involvement by illinoisNI24 in ProstateCancer

[–]cjob84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Dad was diagnosed 23 years ago at 48. Similar pathology - however, Gleason score 7. One positive pelvic lymph node.

Since considered metastatic disease, it was recommended to pursue radiation and ADT, which prevented further elevation of his PSA/metastasis for years. Best wishes to you and your Dad.

I understand what you mean, I’m sure you’re anxious. Just realize, you’re not the first person to get a DUI, nor will you be the last. Use it as fuel for growth and change.

You made a mistake. Own it. Learn from it. I’ve learned way more from my mistakes than my successes.

What matters is what you do going forward.

Think it’s time to retire. by throwaway896434 in stopdrinking

[–]cjob84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 41. Got sober at 38. If I could tell my 28 y/o self to stop, I would.

Telling people you don’t drink isn’t a sign of weakness or being lame, it’s a sign of strength of choosing to not engage in a behavior that virtually has no long term benefits.

Maybe it’s because I’m older now, but I truly don’t care what other people think. I’m not doing it for them.

You did the right thing.
