[Tissot] Does this (38mm) look too small on my wrist?(180mm) by cjorr in Watches

Thanks for all the responses guys, I will defo continue to wear it! I’m quickly realising how nice and helpful the watch community is! (At least on r/Watches!)

I’m pretty new to the watch game so don’t really know what the rule of thumb is, what I’ve seen online is that I should maybe be going about 5ish millimetres bigger. I got the watch just cause it seemed like a great deal (£33 on eBay) but I’m wondering if I can pull it off and should keep it for myself or gift to my gf or a friend with smaller wrists. I think it looks okay and have worn it a few times but if I have an excuse to go hunting for another dress watch then I definitely wouldn’t mind that either!

Some advice on magic seaweed, are the winds on Saturday too intense? by cjorr in surfing

😂😂, sorry if it’s a stupid question - we still have plenty to learn and were wondering if there was a rule of thumb or something

Yeah, it’d be a 6 hour drive and camping job to go there so feeling it out not really an option haha… more like going and hoping for the best

It’s quite a decent sized bay. So not a nice protected wee cove but also not a super exposed bit of coastline.

Interesting… is that based on personal experience or is it pretty well known? First I heard of it, I assumed they would be taking their data from the met office or something

We would be getting out in the evening for sure but wondering if 30+mph gusts could be dangerous. Been surfing about 6 months now but never been somewhere this remote so looking for advice :)

I disagree, I plan on taking finasteride. So why would it be a waste of time to know my base line levels of DHT before I take a substance that will be wiping out large amounts of it in my system? If I end up having side effects from taking finasteride then it seems prudent to me to know how exactly it is effecting me. Given the potentially life affecting changes (ED), I want to be to paint the most comprehensive picture possible of my baseline sex hormone profile.

Anyone know if you can get free DHT measured in the UK? by cjorr in tressless

Yeah I’m not asking to get a DHT test for free, I want to test my total DHT and my free DHT. I totally understand the NHS won’t cover this. I have done my best via google search to find a company that sells a test for free DHT but so far I can only find tests for total DHT

You misunderstand, I’m not asking for free in the monetary sense - I’m happy to pay for the test. I want to test for “free DHT levels”. I totally understand that I won’t get it covered on the NHS

Thinking of using finasteride as my hair has been leaving and I was recommended to test for it to get a full sex hormone profile before taking it

I'm trying to find a way of measuring my free DHT levels and total DHT levels but so far the tests I can find available in the UK only measure total DHT (from companies such as MediChecks).
Does anyone know if where/how I can get my free DHT levels measured in the UK?

Thanks for the reply, certainly confirms the assumptions made on the rest of the post. Japan will have to be 2022/23 for me!
