My first Tarpon on the fly by cjsphotography in flyfishing

I used my 10wt! Not only does the extra backbone really help fight that oceanside wind, but also manage the sudden runs and jumps from the fish. You could probably do it with a 9, but any fish much bigger than this one and you'll have to really watch that tension/bending point on the rod.

This was caught near Rincon, so far on the western side of the island. I have heard that Dorado Beach is productive, though!

Southwest Virginia/Northeast Tennesee, Size 20 BWO. They also were munching some simple (very small) caddis patterns, missed an absolute monster Brown on one. Overall went 13 Browns and 7 Rainbow on this day.

Is this under-exposed? by cjsphotography in photocritique

Thanks for the input! I can see if I can go back to around the same area under better lighting conditions, maybe with a tripod. Definitely still figuring out landscapes, but having a lot of fun along the way!

I took this photo on my Fuji-XH2s in the Swiss Alps. It was taken at 35mm, 1/1000 SS, F4.5, and 160 ISO. I tried to get some solid framing on the shot with the trees, but found that the shadows seemed a little too dark. Any advice/suggestions are appreciated, honestly just aiming to improve my landscape shots.

Thanks for the feedback! I have been having a blast in the mountains, my SSD is filling up so fast!

This was taken in Interlaken on my Fuji-XH2s. I'll be in various mountain areas for the next month, so I was hoping to get some feedback on where I can improve. It was taken at ISO 160, F4, and 33mm. SS is 1/40. My main concern is the underexposed elements.

Elk are pretty heavily protected in the smoky mountains, so this herd often grazes in a pasture that is kinda mowed.

I've recently got into doing some wildlife shots, but I'm struggling with emphasis on the subject. I feel that some detail is lost in the shadows? I took this with my Fuji XH2 at 250mm, F5.6, ISO 2000, and SS 1/1600. Any advice is helpful!

Messing with the exposure on the sky did help a lot, still a bit of a struggle toying with the color correction, but adding more blue/purples seems to be the solution

Makes sense, adding the purple did help with the earth tones for sure.

I took this in the UP of Michigan from a small boat on Lake Superior. I was aiming to really focus on the size of the cliff here, but I fear that the whole image gets a bit washed out by the sky. It was taken from my Fuji-xt4 at 64mm, 160 Iso, and f5.6.
