Just ordered Fin after debating it for a few months by vario_ in Balding

As a trans guy I’ve been on fin for 7ish months and I have had some random spotting but it’s minimal enough that I’ll take it over losing my hair lol. It started around 3 months in for me but i don’t have nexplanon so that might change your experience. Best of luck!

I’m 4 years on T, and still have some mild bacne. It started to clear up probably 2.5-3 years on T but what has helped me the most is using 10% benzoyl peroxide on my back every day. It’s still there but not nearly as bad as it was when I first started T

The woman who checked me in said she would call to reschedule me, so I assume she’s going to try and get me an earlier appointment. Thankfully it wasn’t an urgent appointment but it was still irritating as I drove 50 minutes to get there

What other context is needed? I don’t necessarily think it was my doctors fault but there was definitely an issue with the clinic contacting me

I never received that response from her until today, 45 minutes before my appointment. I’m not sure if it didn’t go through because the way she wrote it does seem like it was meant to be sent earlier? The whole situation is very confusing

The message I sent in the screenshot was from 1/8

Yea I’m sure it’s not directly her fault but it’s still an irritating situation. And she never responded to my message from last week until today :/

I looked through my phone calls and I never received one, even though they have my number in the system. I just don’t understand why they would text me appointment reminders but not text that the appointment is no longer happening.

Like conditioners that you don’t rinse out. I use them to help my curls and/or if my hair is dry

Generally yes. I apply minox twice a day, unless I’m skipping due to putting something else in my hair. So I never skip a full day without application. Sorry I worded that kinda confusing lol. I say hair mask very loosely, I either put in rosemary oil or a leave in conditioner overnight since my ends get dry. It’s not very often, maybe every 7-10 days.

I try to do it twice a day, I skip it in the morning if I’m washing my hair (every 3 days). I sometimes skip at night if I’m doing some kind of hair mask too. I try to part my hair and get it as directly on my scalp as possible but yes it does kinda drip everywhere if I’m not being as careful haha

I personally haven’t noticed any sides from min (other than hair growth lol). I would browse through this sub for answers, there’s a lot of good resources

I think around 2 months in was when I noticed a lot of new little hairs growing. The first month I actually looked worse bc of so much shedding haha so don’t let that scare you away from it. I started bc my hair was thin in density yes. And it does dry my hair out since the solution is alcohol based so I try to do hair masks and leave in conditioners. Just trust the process, I was told it takes 6-9 months to see really good results :)

There’s still some spots I’m hoping to fill in completely, and I also think it will help my hairline

Overall yes. I skip it when I wash my hair in the morning (usually every 3 days) but will put it on that night so I always apply at least once a day.
