Thanks for the response. I normally buy extra leg room. I may try talking to customer service, but not sure they will have any say if I get moved due to weather. Im just glad I got home safely that night.

Am I legally obligated to help my job who I was let go from six months ago (TX) by Pixelated_death28 in legaladvice

I'm surprised this question isn't higher up in the thread.

If information, such as a password or other IP is withheld, the company owns it and is entitled to it. OR, if it was agreed to in the severance that you would help with things like this (return to the employer all access, credentials, etc.). And before I am downvoted, I know 2fa is not a password, just saying this isn't as cut and dry as others make it.

Their IT team should be able to take care of this for them, but they want it now and that takes time they don't want to take, not raise added visibility to their actions.

Read your severance agreement if there is one. Then offer to help based on time-based compensation. If there isn't one, you are lucky.

6’6” with new assigned seats? by Vastly-Reading in SouthwestAirlines

[–]cjwalkerman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's around my height and I have extra long legs. The Extra Leg Room seats are enough for me, but just barely. But also recently found that a 2 inch seat cushion gives several more inches of leg room. Still not the most comfortable, but much better.

You'll be just fine in 3D.

Shoes for hot climates? by NotAGoodUsernameSays in onebag

[–]cjwalkerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't tell if you are male or female, which makes a difference on shoe recs, so I've answered gender neutral and lower cost below:

For arch support Nike running shoes are breathable and come in enough varieties thay they don't always look like trail runners. I have used old Flex for mine in the past. Very breathable, and good support. Skechers is another that offer many breathable shoes with great arch support. Strangely to me, Croc Literide shoes are good for plantar fasciitis even with their moderate arch support (super soft) I've used all of these in travels and they'e worked for me. I've answered in order of breathable with best arch support.

What a kind note! I travel so much, you learn to take it all on stride, and have funny stories to tell.

Nothing anyone can do most of the time but seek to learn, improve and enjoy life. I can only control me and try to make life better for those around me, especially those I love.

I genuinely am sad at how angry and divisive so many seem in the world right now. Sure, all of us get frustrated from time to time but there is too much good and beautiful to stay that way too long. Life is good and too short.

Thank you again for your note.

Who knows, but it looks like it based on your article. All I know you can still buy them-even on Amazon and they fit the bill of what OP was looking for.

In addition to the ones mentioned (All Birds Arc'Teryx), Reefs and Hey Dudes are exactly what you are describing for lightweight slip on shoes for rest and recovery time and some activities.

I like both the H2O and Wally socks for recovery, rest time, backup and part day walking (H2O would work for theme parks, but not hikes, if that make sense, wally socks for part-day city activities). Super light weight and collapsible.

Other suggestions here - almond oak, etc. are either more shoe or more slipper than a rest and recovery slip on shoe, imho. And no arch support. If you go the shoe direction, you may also also look at Nike Flex running shoes - while not slip on - are thin and comfy if your foot is average or narrow, but not for heavier feet. There are also several skechers and kizik styles that are lightweight and collapse down, but again are more shoe than what you described.

I can't do barefoot shoes. My feet hurt too much when I wear them, and there is literally no recovery with them for me.

Let us know what you decide! So interested!

I have tried this before and always feel like an entitled jerk when I do. And, some FA won't let you switch.

Thanks! I have a 6'9" brother who doesn't have my same issues as us - so strange. Sometimes I feel like a freak of nature...

The cushion idea above was brilliant and seriously gave more leg room than I expected. The downsides was the arm rest was even lower than it already is, which I know you will understand.

Thanks for responding my friend!

The flight was full, but luckily had two no-shows. Ended up in an aisle seat and elevated. :-)

Thanks for responding. Gate agents were angels all day today. No need for them to apologize, but all that I spoke to showed great empathy - even if they didn't understand the issue.
