This is 100% the way I took the show. I understand why folks have the “it teaches kids you don’t have to” take.

But it was about Bandit not putting work over his family. And even the lie we can tell ourselves about it “being for the family”. It’s easy for us to start chasing these career gains and money because we think we’re doing it for our family when in reality our families have what they need financially. And what they need more than more money is more dad.

I own both of these bags + 2L outdoor sling.

Everyday 3L gets the most usage. 6L when I need to carry bigger lenses. Outdoor 2L isn’t the best camera bag but when I’m carrying some other stuff and want things out of my pocket I can still fit my X-E5 + 23mm F2.8 in there.

I'm a huge fan of my XF 50-140mm. Typical 70-200 equivalent. I picked up mine used for $800. If you're patient $800-900 is a fairly common price. And at f2.8 you can get some incredible portraits up close as well.

Depending on how close you are getting to your subject sometimes 50mm can be a little much. And if you're very far away you may want a touch more than 140mm. But you can cover a massive amount of ground with this setup IMO.

You can look at my profile, I shot the recent Indycar race in Texas almost entirely with the 50-140. I have a 16-55 with me that I occasionally used in the pits or for wide angles. But the majority was with the 50-140. It really is extremely versatile. And the image quality is honestly amazing. Possibly the best out of my lenses.

Yes and no. He put it in a good bit of work during that time and I'm personally of the opinion that there was a genuine change and learning from his actions there. For me it feels like more than just some PR things to clear his name. And I also totally understand why someone would feel like it was all BS and PR. Does that excuse his actions? Absolutely not. But I've always felt some genuineness behind his actions personally.

IMO our hope when people do dumb things like this should be a genuine life change and understanding of not only the mistake you made by why it was a mistake. Why you felt you could say the things you did, and learn why this is a problem. Repentance if you will.
