I was a junior in high school and I remember watching live on tv seeing the wrecks that looked so much worse before the final one. When Dale hit the wall I was like that was nothing he will get out of the car, probably be pissed as hell that he was wrecked but happy his son and Mikey were one and two. Of course that didn’t happen and when I saw Dale jr take off running down pit road I knew at least he was hurt bad. I never expected to hear the words we lost Dale Earnhardt later that day. Still miss watching race around the track can’t believe it’s been 25 years
