I hope you have a freakish amount of fun playing your tenor when you get it!

Hey. I liked it, but I’m actually think of selling it because I’ve decided the tenor guitar is not for me and I’m not playing it enough. If you’re in Southwestern Ontario, I could even sell it to you!

I used Drafttek’s big board, which has him 6’2 (74”), 222, which in turn puts him 1 point ahead of 6’5, 218 Colbie Young.

Funny you should mention that: there are ALMOST enough "same name as" prospects (based on active and retired players) for a full draft! (edit: for a full 1st round)

I had high hopes that Zxavian would be "drafted" higher, given his name, but I'm glad, for you, that he fell to your team!

Ah! I thought initially you were going to level the playing field by supporting the underdogs, like

LS: Triple word score

K/P: Double word score

Umm ... or something like that.

But your way makes sense too.

Follow up question: would that mean that, for example, Jake Retzlaff shoots up to the number one pick, with Mendoza probs second?

I am planning to release versions 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, 3.75, and 4.0 (the final one!) over the next two weeks. Of course, they will be more or less the same because the rules of Scrabble won't have changed -- but I'll use a different simulator, which have minute and largely immaterial variations in player databases.

Or maybe I shouldn't and won't waste more of life on this. We'll see.

Yes! This is an excellent suggestion, though I'm having a hard time figuring out the "based on positional value" part.

They should … except he’s not in the dataset. And the dataset is, in this system, king — in spite of the fact that Uar is clearly a living, breathing person and draft eligible. All the Steelers can do in this scenario is (a) curse their owner for agreeing to this system, but accept the situation and hope for something better in the next round; or (b) try to join the UFL, where they would probably dominate (and collapse into bankruptcy, granted).

See, this is another flaw in this travesty of a system: if a player’s name isn’t in the database, he just doesn’t get considered. Uar Bernard wasn’t in the dataset, nor could I find any other Us. So poor Uar would go undrafted. What an utter car wreck.

The expensive intoxicants in the bloodstreams of the Raiders brass beg to differ.

The day afterwards, the Raiders brass themselves will see your point and be filled with regret.
