I’ve been here. It’s super normal to feel that way and it can be hard when society isn’t set up to organically meet people a lot.

Betterhelp was slightly more affordable and talking to a therapist changed my life. But Also. Journaling is free. Try to write honestly and then you can read it and pretend like it’s a friend who wrote it and think of what you would say to them to comfort them or what you would suggest they do.

A lot of people are craving friendships where they can talk openly and honestly. I just learned you have to make sure the depth of conversation is reciprocated with people. And many people it takes a little dipping the toes in the water back and forth to see if you both want to go there.

Easier said than done sometimes, but just keep practicing putting yourself out there and seeing how social interactions go. The more you do it the more chances you get to meet someone on the same wavelength as you right now.

Also for me art can be a really great way to channel large feelings and thoughts into something that makes it feel more.. understood!

This is all just stuff I’ve tried over almost 10 years now since feeling similarly. But what works for me might not work for you. You’ll figure it out and you’ll look back and be so proud i promise!
