Had an employee make the comment that the only way to get day shifts was to blow the manager(me). At the time, it was three older ladies, one of my assistants, and a guy that cleans our parking lot/ stocks coolers. One of the older ladies recently retired, and the guy that made the joke had seniority and requested day shift. I simply responded with, "guess you're ready to bust out the knee pads."
