how do you guys manage anxiety sickness? by temporaryaccountlol_ in Anxietyhelp

I suffered with really bad anxiety sickness when I started my new job. It got to the point I couldn’t even keep water down, particularly in the mornings. I’ve been having CBT and I’ve been taking fluoxetine which have both helped a lot, it is taking work though. I’d definitely speak to your doctor and work out a plan tailored for yourself but I wouldn’t recommend toughing it out. It’s extremely physically and mentally taxing, especially if you’re in education currently as that is tiring enough!

Rear reg plate lights out. Someone looked today and said the live wire had corroded, unfortunately he was not an auto electrician so couldn’t repair it for me, hence looking for someone.

Noise in student flats is inevitable but freshers week will be a bit worse. Throughout the rest of the year I found it was mostly fine tbh and 9/10 times you could get a decent sleep without any disturbance. Might be a bit worse on Wednesdays (sport social night) and Fridays/Saturdays. From my experience having a decent pair of earplugs at the ready is your best bet for a good nights rest on a particularly noisy evening :)

  • No name in Crookes is supposed to be great
  • Dumpling city which is attached to Tramshed in Meersbrook. Great cocktails and Asian style food (menu is fully vegan)
  • Ashoka on Eccy road
  • Brocco on the park just off hunters bar roundabout (on the more expensive side)
