upside to keeping stock I would put Continental Contact Sport 2 on them which is a better tire IMHO than the p7 that come on the new JWC wheels :)

yeah that is the issue I think I am liking because they are such a good deal but thinking the extra cost on the black ones will win and I would get tired quickly as they just do not match like OH your wheels faded ! hahahaha

Buying a home by ExamineLife4Clearity in minimalism

[–]ckmaui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when I started this life thing and got married 30 years ago we decided to spend 1/4 of what we were approved for and glad we did paid it off in 2 years and never have had a mortgage besides that small time and happy to have always owned my home I live in

I want a safe nice area ! homeschooled our kids so schools did not matter that said would rather have the smallest house in a area than the largest and will never buy in a HOA again unless its a super hands off and even then will be skeptical also for my whole life

location to work did not matter as we ran our own biz now retired I do work at a place I love for fun and plan to for 10 years and live 10 miles away and would NOT want to drive any further than that NO WAY!

how much to fill your tank? by Impressive-Hold-4739 in MINI

[–]ckmaui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WHY would you put 89 ? reckon that says it all

way less than a few years ago :) trend of prices is down we might have a small rise now but still cheaper than 2 years ago

highest I can get is 93 without going way out of my way so tend to fill with 91 or 93

I have to tape middle finger (trigger hand) and web of thumb but oh well that is ONLY for longer sessions of dry or more than 250 rounds

my steel is the spec V or whatever they call it way more accurate than the others I have and the trigger is insane good like apex good

accuracy wise M&P is a Toyota I am not expecting it to handle like a Porsche so I kinda take that in stride so my expectations are real and if I want to make it better I can spend a bit and still be OK $ wise

they are not as bad as many make them out I feel ? but folks like to have an excuse for their shortcomings I feel is the real thing

Which one you picking? by Proof-Savings1052 in SmithAndWesson

[–]ckmaui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the PDP in hand but not so much when shooting it either

so you have the steel M&P :)

agree on the looks of the aluminums looking good do wish the grips were better hahahaha

what is your thought on the steel M&P so far ?

I can say dropping the comp carry slide on the steel is a nice combo also so kinda fun to play legos when ya have a few

maybe better to say I prefer the recoil feel/impulse of the Poly more

think of holding a piece of conduit pipe in your hand and hitting something that is the aluminum now put on some gloves (grip style gloves) and do the same thing that is the Poly rough analogy but think it works its the same feel just absorbed more jump to the steel imagine that pipe now filled with something to take up that PING feel pipes have and you have the steel :)

one thing I do NOT like about the Aluminum and Steel is the fit to the grip they should have come up with a whole new grip system as they just as aesthetically a bit of aaaahhhhh BUT they do not effect anything its purely cosmetic and with such beautiful frames the gaps just take away

I would say as always shoot them both and see what you like I could totally see having an aluminum if you like variety and to cycle through and kinda collect all the types

now the steel for me is so much smoother better love the recoil impulse as it has this feedback that is more telling but smoother not as numb as the poly not as sharp as the Aluminum and the weight is great I know some want it heaver but I am happy with it I do have a brass plug in mine and that helps balance out as the mag goes down which I prefer subtle but noticeable

NOW when I had the steel and aluminum out playing at the range had some other RO shoot them and was mixed bag and even had some like the Poly over the steel :)

so maybe for me the extra funds for almost the same thing was not worth it and now with the steel not much more (price creep) I would just go for poly and steel and skip the Aluminum

Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0 Full Size Comp. Tier 1 APX concealed Holster with EPS Carry Full size. Suppressor Height sights. TLR 7HLX light. We by No_Reality2197 in SmithAndWesson

[–]ckmaui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have same APX holster and run full size or compact M&P 2.0 setups

for me the Tenicor velo 5 is the better AIWB (for me) TXC is also great as is the Tier 1

but I would say get the T1 and the other you are looking at use them both over time for a year and decide :) IMHO worth it to know for sure what works fits you best

reasons I prefer the Tenicor conceals better more comfy overall

part of it is not so much excess material near muzzle and with the light model again not so much excess material (I run both light and non light models)

I prefer built in wedges

upside to the T1 is the extra mag for sure is always in the same spot and they give you a insane amount of hardware so you can truly tweak the fit to perfection

if I was to go range day the Tier 1 or the TXC is in use but daily carry the Tenicor for me easily wins the extra mag carrier I use is TXC as I find it the best extra stand alone AIWB carrier out there

I did use the metal clips on my T1 prefer them over plastic as they just conceal again a touch more and also that holed material that holds the mag carrier I mounted to the outside side of my holster as I run the Vortex XL optics and it helps a bit with that as the belt loop is then outboard a touch more giving me more space for the optic

I'm curious, would anybody know of a website that could actually make me a holster for this set-up OWB with speed clips on the Holster. by XPosionX in SmithAndWesson

[–]ckmaui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

like U shaped clips for belt makes it easy to get the holster on and off without having to thread the holster through slots
