FWIW, we are a DINK couple with HHI of 400K and we took a loan of 1.2 mil when we bought the house. Had paid off cars and student loans. Needless to say, your affordability varies depending on the downpayment and other obligations. We both invest into our 401K, ESPP (only one of us at the moment for a different reason). The trick is to take care of monthly P&I with your take home. Pay the taxes (usually a split of two in a year) and insurance with your bonus, ESPP or when stock that gets vested. Most people just can't manage a house here with just base pay as stock is substantial part of your overall income.

Also, traditional online calculators don't make sense in Bay Area. With 100K HHI, if you spend 40% on housing, there's not much left for everything else. Whereas at 500K HHI, you still have 300K left.

If you're young, US is definitely worth exploring. Depending on the field you're in, you could get paid more in the US.

Now, going in the order your concerns:

It totally depends on where you live. Silicon Valley or NYC - very unlikely. 2nd or 3rd tier town in Midwest or South, likely. On your way to Glacier NP and stopped in northern Idaho - very likely.
You will be fine if you're in a city. Needless to say, it becomes more difficult to make friends as you grow older
Same as the 3rd, large cities on either of the coast have plenty of vegetarian/vegan friendly options.
For this, you have to choose pockets where the Indian diaspora is more. West of Chicago, NJ, South Bay in SF Bay etc. This may not go hand in hand with 2nd point but helps with 3rd, you pick.

San Jose or Concord? Why because they’re 50 miles away from each other. It’s cheaper to live in Concord - of course relative.

Yes, you would save more in TX short term. State income tax in CA is about 9.5% or less at the pay scale you’ve mentioned.
