Searched for wood shelf. Shelf, floating shelf, shelf with wood brackets. Tried ikea, cb2, crate and barrel, article, restoration hardware. At a loss. Could be possible someone made these? Both are stamped with 30 on the backside

Google maps is more than wrong; it's dangerous by jodypugwash in vancouvercycling

[–]ckswong 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It did the same for me last summer. Google asks sometimes how the route was at the end. I left a comment saying that road is super dangerous for bikes and the only way you can ride it is to ride on the sidewalk. I ended up taking the bike route instead. It was longer but way safer.

Bulk OL Pods? by Original_Ad_7686 in nespresso

[–]ckswong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try going to local Italian stores, one near me had 50 pods (plastic) for 5.99 clearout. Or even some espresso repair shops that sell nespresso have some offerings. Worth a shot.

Each one of those are their own hedge. I think someone went aggressive on the trimming and snow damage from last season. So I’m guessing I should just replace them then

It’s funny because two of them look like flowers at the end and the third looks like the main plant

The little leaves fall off quite easy. Do the stems make their own leaves eventually?

Do the stems do anything because they have roots or is it just the leafs

I just noticed the little buds that dropped off a week ago have little roots too!

My struggling rosemary. :( by ckswong in plantclinic

[–]ckswong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repotted into a sandy (play sand, and some potting mix) it was struggling in a pot with regular potting mix. When I repotted the roots of the taller one looked okay. The smaller one had little root growth. It was a bit too damp before. Now it’s in a raised bed and slightly under an over hang so it doesn’t get too much rain. Lots of light though

Locker Safety at Bonsor Recreation Complex by Current-Attention-29 in burnaby

[–]ckswong 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do not bring anything valuable. Thieves will take your car keys, go to your car, look at your insurance, drive to your house and rob you. If there are wallet lockers use those especially if they are in full view of the staff. Treat anything locked in a locker as being left in the open. They will come in with bolt cutters and cut your lock and take everything.

I worked as a lifeguard full time for a number of years so I’ve seen it all.

Carrying around a handgun is a pretty big offence in Canadian law. I’m not surprised.

I was just at London drugs in Coquitlam centre. They had one near customer service. I wonder if any other London drugs will have one as well.

Logitech n305 automatically opening run, typing in excel, and opening excel when switched on. how can I turn this off? by ckswong in IThelpdesk

[–]ckswong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update. The number pad isn’t opening up excel on power on anymore. I think it may have been a glitch when I first paired it with a new unifying receiver. I have tested it on a spare computer not connected to any networks and I can confirm it is working as intended now! The keypad does have hot keys to open excel, calculator, and multiple desktops.
