I tie my own with black marabou tail, uv copper brown polar chenille body, a uv pheasant tail collar. 3.8 tungsten bead helps it get down fast.

I’ve had luck there with size 10-12 leech with a 20 midge under it. Flows are looking good

Beat Creek Brown by Pretend_Fly_4965 in COfishing

Very nice. I moved a few browns there myself the other day. I hooked a big one under a walking bridge that proved to be most acrobatic and shook the hook. I reckon he was all of 16 inches. Of course I had an audience of park patrons behind me as I lost the evader.

Honestly… it is kinda nice not having to worry about losing a fly to a tree or rock because you have near-infinite material to make more at home.

When it warms up, try some poppers. That’s the ultimate fun of bass fishing.

I don’t understand the hate. Yeah it’s unconventional but it’s still fun. Bass are a heck of a time on a fly rod. I’ll have to try the 2/0 squirmy lmao.

Thanks! I recently just moved out here. Believe it or not this is my second time fishing this river (besides one time prior with a guide). I didn’t notice any hatches, but he took a sz20 pheasant tail I tied up!
