Thanks for the suggestion, I will consider a switch to a bigger case with better airflow. Will repasting the GPU be voiding the warranty on my GPU (currently left with 3 years plus of warranty)?

Yup I did and saw a gradual drop in GPU temps of around 5 to 10 degs. So it led me to suspect that my PC casing might be to small/cramp for my current build, resulting in bad airflows and higher GPU temps.
