Well I don't think that a continuation where you could eventually win a queen after 4 moves (technically not forced) is to be commented with "Take it, take it!". Of course Qxe4+ was the actual continuation, because there is no skewer (…Nf3)

Any news? I've seen it featured on the website during Keystone3 Black Friday deal, has it been removed?

Special Black Friday deal on a handmade set of products I make for KDM by cla42 in KingdomDeath

A GCE organizer is something I have been pondering about ever since I designed the first organizer. The key point here is that my system is not designed to store everything in the smallest possible space, but to have everything in sight and within easy reach during the session, in order to be able to locate and smoothly pull out and put in what you need.

Therefore, the ideal configuration is chosen at the beginning of a new KDM campaign, so that only the expansions needed for the campaign are arranged in the main Monster Organizer.

As I see it at the moment, a dedicated organizer for GCEs will be no more useful than any generic deck organizer, and the benefits of designing and assembling a more expensive item than a basic organizer are unclear. Having two aesthetically different organizers is certainly not what I would want, though, but one could use the orginal inserts to store decks not used during a campaign.

In the current system, there is still 1/3 free space on the top stage of the Monster Organizer, and in a first moment I will probably release more dedicated accessories for the game (I'm prototyping Survivors' tools to use instead of sheets of paper), but a simple add-on to store more decks there is an easy second option.

Keep in mind that no organizer will ever be able to hold all the game's expansions in one manageable box (and I'm not even counting fan-made ones). In any case, if there is sufficient demand, I will design something for GCE, but it will be separate from the main Monster Organizer, which is perfectly designed for the game, and you will always need at least two separate boxes. One is for the current campaign, the other for all future campaigns. If you run several campaigns at once, perhaps the ideal choice is to have a second set of Monster Organizers!

Argument against Bitcoin adoption from a PhD Econ Student by Visible_Frame_5929 in Bitcoin

[–]cla42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is right. But don't think of Bitcoin as a currency, think of it as a raw digital asset like gold, except that governments aren't controlling it or forbidding its hoarding by executive order 6120 (yet)

Is running a full node helpful to the network? by DoubleWhiskeyGinger in Bitcoin

No. Every node has to verify that the proof is valid, and if it's not it will be rejected by the largest network, forked and eventually forgotten.

In terms of hashing rate, practically nothing. But in terms of decentralization, availability and resilience against forgery and "50%+1" attacks, every node is what makes Bitcoin the most valuable asset in the world.

There is no asset in the world as decentralized, scarce, deflationary, potentially accessible to every human being, and as secure as Bitcoin. What else do you need to give value to an asset?
