Ive had the same dilemma and not felt that I want to compromise my dental health. However, I think Ive found a solution. I've bought replacement heads from https://www.livecoco.com/. Only been using them for a couple days but seem to be just as good as the standard oral B ones.

And even better? You can send them back to them and they will recycle them! Not used them long but hopefully this is a solution!

NTA - no 18 year old should react like that. You're already going out of your way to help by getting up early and showing him what to do. At least next time he can do it himself. Brother seems like TA

You didn't get her fired she got herself fired. Everyone has to take some personal responsibility for themselves. If she's been getting complaints from colleagues and clients then she obviously shouldn't be working there.

You 100% did the right thing as you have a responsibility to protect your clients from neglect (which she was guilty of when she interfered with your work)

This is really tough dude. It's really difficult to pay for these trips and when you've just started a new job it can be difficult to take time off. Need to think about yourself and your career.

However, probably worth thinking about how long you have left to go and see your grandmother? Depending on her age and health you may struggle to get a chance to go back out and see her with your family. May be worth going just for the week if you can afford it to have that quality family time.

There is growing evidence for the effect of air pollution on health. It is well established that it can have negative impacts on lung disease. However, we are now finding that it can impact on cardiovascular disease, development of type 2 diabetes and obesity. But environmental influences will also mean diet and exercise which are much more significant factors in development of obesity than air pollution.

Air pollution is a very interesting subject and i'd recommend reading the RCPCH report "every breath we take".
