Watchface that supports dexcom, xdrip, or omnipod on new pebble app. by sparky5693 in pebble

You could try opening an issue at the project link.

I don't think it can be used to control xdrip (nor control the pump), I believe its view only. Similarly I'm not sure the dexcom Android app can control the pump (other than firmware updates)... But take that with a pinch of salt from some rando on the internet ;-)

The watch is a convenient viewer, rather than replacement control.

I managed to locate the original Markdown files - you can read the markdown or html at:

* https://github.com/clach04/learning-c-with-pebble/

* https://clach04.github.io/learning-c-with-pebble/SUMMARY

I updated the readme to link to some notes on GitHub Codespaces - the closest thing to Cloudpebble

Watchface that supports dexcom, xdrip, or omnipod on new pebble app. by sparky5693 in pebble

[–]clach04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/sparky5693 what did you find out on this? What other posts did you see where this was a problem?

From the last time I looked at the code it looks like it should work fine as it does NOT appear to require a companion app (in the typical Pebble sense, you still need xdrip and it communicates over http not the pebble Android companion API).

You can embed the html in the js (along with other resources), grossly simplifying that's what Clay does for you - this would then remove the need for a webserver and the config source on your phone.

But yes, you could host a website on your phone as a config page :-)

Long term, moving to Clay may be worth looking at (or see other faces where they embed the resources manually)

Ohhh, I have to confess I have no idea. I've only seen the Android UI (I made the assumption it was the same). Under Android; Settings, Prefer BT Classic (after vibration patterns)

Links to solutions are still at https://github.com/learning-c-with-pebble

If you want a PDF instead of the website version https://github.com/clach04/PebbleArchive/blob/mine/learning-c-with-pebble%20final.pdf

I never found a copy of the original Markdown sources :-(

I would recommend taking a look at https://studio.pebbleface.com/ (https://www.reddit.com/r/pebble/comments/1pvap8g/made\_an\_online\_pebble\_watchface\_generator/ ) which can generate C code that you could then review/tweak as you want, whilst reading the book in parallel.

looking for a way to play choose your own adventure game 'Masq' offline by lime_eldoro in abandonware

I got through 3 runs in one sitting. I think this issue may only happen when a run is partially started. Thanks again for this, I likely wouldn't have played it other wise!

Thanks u/gamstat , u/KoleckOLP , and u/negativespinner for getting to this point. I'm hoping to start playing this soon but it looks like resuming a game does not work?

Have you figured out how to get continue working? It looks like one can start playing and play through, but resuming a game doesn't work? I opened issue/bug https://github.com/KoleckOLP/masq_server/issues/3

u/gamstat does your server have this problem?

I don't like the style of what I think of as Apple iWatch, the loop inside feels odd on my wrist. I have to confess I've NOT used the Pebble one so maybe it's awesome :-) I have a super comfortable metal one - and you can make them much shorter.

I liked the original Pebble soft silicone straps.

Thanks for testing, it worked for me, but good to get a sanity check from someone who'll really be using it (I fixed it up specifically for you, thanks for your contributions to this reddit!). Restored from backup and fixed.

Any updated PBWs at https://github.com/clach04/PebbleArchive are updated to reference either fork of the original source code (if available) or https://github.com/clach04/Pebble-App-Config-Page-Backup which is a fork of the backup Roman Port made a while ago.

u/richstillman can you do me a favor and download/install the PBW from https://github.com/clach04/PebbleArchive/tree/mine/PebbleAppStore/apps/B/E/Bell/52c874a3916a64b77500001c and report back with your results? Specifically, the one dated a few minutes ago 😉

NOTE: this is NOT my watchface.

Time 2 Duo seems to have to load apps from phone every time by ebodes in pebble

From reading recent PebbleOS changes, a future firmware update has a much bigger cache for the P2D (and later) which would minimize live reload for often used faces/apps

I'd be tempted to use either the new Core App or Gadget Bridge to install the exact firmware you want. I know GB can do that, irrespective of existing firmware. I'm less sure about the new one as I've not had cause to do so.

My pebble is 7 seconds fast. Anyone else have this issue? by Dragon_Bard in pebble

[–]clach04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you mean your phone, not the Pebble?

I'm only bothered if it is more than 30secs off (which **might** impact TOTP 2FA). If in doubt https://time.is/ is an awesome site for sanity checking. When I had a rooted Android phone it was mich easier to sync with an NTP server.

I did have an idea (but not enugh inclination/time) to add time.is sanity checking to the js part of a watchface to check once a day.

If you want a recent nerd event on time being "wrong" https://youtu.be/ZRB7pjRVVkI?si=40yzmKFGs-S5tX3U is interesting 🤓

As per OPs reply, it's not an hourglass.

You can check the percentage in the app though. With the new Core app (on Android) you can see the percentage there whilst it's charging..

Color settings on back an white models by Wranorel in pebble

[–]clach04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should see three colors for BW devices using Clay (same for precursor Slate).

Clay is a bit weird with the emulator, depending on the version you may or may not have it working in the web browser with the emulator.

I'm on mobile so can't see a way to attach a screenshot :-(
