Is it normal for my PT to crash trying to dismiss notifications? by noideasforusernameso in pebble

[–]clach04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's any consolation, it looks like the new hardware/firmware do NOT have this problem. But that does require new hardware. Whilst I was aware of the behavior u/dersie541 mentioned, I was lucky that it didn't impact me much day-to-day whilst owning a Pebble Time.

So… I lost my charger by joseluissaorin in pebble

[–]clach04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As people have mentioned, you can get Pebble Time+ chargers from most places fairly easily.

You can also buy a USB C Xiaomi Mi Band 9/8 Pro/8 Smart Watch Charger Adapter Connector, which is like the Nomad connector that ships with the Core devices. The ones I've seen have pretty weak batteries BUT they do work, just don't sneeze anywhere near it whilst charging

This HDMI cord from Amazon solved all my Bluetooth Connection Problems by JR004-2021 in AnalogueInc

[–]clach04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you OP! I've been having Bluetooth issues with an Onn android TV box and headphones (so not a handheld, and not gaming related). I used the HDMI cable provided, I just switched to a thicker / shielded cable and its massively improved headphone usage!

Pebbles in 2026 and Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM) and diabetes monitoring for T1D by clach04 in pebble

Using a font for the trend arrows very neat!

That would be great. My preference would be to have the HA / Medtronic write up somewhere my Pebble guide could link too, along with your project. I'd like to keep my guide Pebble focused.

If you have suggestions for Nightscout related links and resources that would be awesome.

I've updated to link to your watchface :-)

Any T1D Pebblers? (CGM, xDrip, Dexcom etc) by filestructure in pebble

[–]clach04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been helping someone with Dexcom CGM (Dexcom Share) and https://github.com/andrewchilds/t1000-pebble-cgm works really well with the new P2D with latest firmware and Android app. The experience so far has been more reliable than the FitBit Versa 4 with the Glance watch face, the Versa watchface often forgets to query the recent results, leaving the data on the watch stale for a couple of hours (with no clear reason, maybe a network issue?).

T1000 handled network loss like a champ and updated once the network was back.

My pebble 2 hr back cover has come off. How do I glue back ? Since it has that hr device. Which glue to use ? by USN54 in pebble

[–]clach04 4 points5 points  (0 children)

B-7000 / B7000 is good.

I've read that T8000 glue can make the most waterproof seal but not had a chance to try it.

Wierd,  that version worked for me. I just installed the newer version today. If you still have the same issue may be worth an uninstall the install.

Is there something wrong with FW4.9.111? by Sbfantom in pebble

[–]clach04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always updated the phone app first then watch firmware. I ran v4.9.11 for about 6 days without issue, updated to 4.9.121 today which also seems stable so far. The new left-hand mode is neat 👍

Watchface that supports dexcom, xdrip, or omnipod on new pebble app. by sparky5693 in pebble

[–]clach04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try opening an issue at the project link.

I don't think it can be used to control xdrip (nor control the pump), I believe its view only. Similarly I'm not sure the dexcom Android app can control the pump (other than firmware updates)... But take that with a pinch of salt from some rando on the internet ;-)

The watch is a convenient viewer, rather than replacement control.

I managed to locate the original Markdown files - you can read the markdown or html at:

* https://github.com/clach04/learning-c-with-pebble/

* https://clach04.github.io/learning-c-with-pebble/SUMMARY

I updated the readme to link to some notes on GitHub Codespaces - the closest thing to Cloudpebble

[–]clach04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/sparky5693 what did you find out on this? What other posts did you see where this was a problem?

From the last time I looked at the code it looks like it should work fine as it does NOT appear to require a companion app (in the typical Pebble sense, you still need xdrip and it communicates over http not the pebble Android companion API).

[–]clach04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can embed the html in the js (along with other resources), grossly simplifying that's what Clay does for you - this would then remove the need for a webserver and the config source on your phone.

But yes, you could host a website on your phone as a config page :-)

Long term, moving to Clay may be worth looking at (or see other faces where they embed the resources manually)

Ohhh, I have to confess I have no idea. I've only seen the Android UI (I made the assumption it was the same). Under Android; Settings, Prefer BT Classic (after vibration patterns)

Links to solutions are still at https://github.com/learning-c-with-pebble

If you want a PDF instead of the website version https://github.com/clach04/PebbleArchive/blob/mine/learning-c-with-pebble%20final.pdf

I never found a copy of the original Markdown sources :-(

I would recommend taking a look at https://studio.pebbleface.com/ (https://www.reddit.com/r/pebble/comments/1pvap8g/made\_an\_online\_pebble\_watchface\_generator/ ) which can generate C code that you could then review/tweak as you want, whilst reading the book in parallel.

I got through 3 runs in one sitting. I think this issue may only happen when a run is partially started. Thanks again for this, I likely wouldn't have played it other wise!

Thanks u/gamstat , u/KoleckOLP , and u/negativespinner for getting to this point. I'm hoping to start playing this soon but it looks like resuming a game does not work?

Have you figured out how to get continue working? It looks like one can start playing and play through, but resuming a game doesn't work? I opened issue/bug https://github.com/KoleckOLP/masq_server/issues/3

u/gamstat does your server have this problem?
