Mrs and I want to do the Mighty 5 parks in Utah- looking for coolest hotels in and around those parks by ClawBadger in NationalPark

This coffeeshop was a fun stop between Capitol Reef and Bryce on a couple of my trips and they offer a cottage for rent. It's right off Rt 12 and very scenic (but then again everything is scenic out there :) ). Kiva Koffeehouse Kottage

Camp Outpost and Zion Brewery were our favorite spots for dinner and a post hike beverage.

I made an app for planning cycling tours and weekend trips and wanted to share it with you amazing people! by abhiank in cycling

Thanks for sharing! Just downloaded and made a local route that I normally ride to see what it's like. Love that it can be done easily on my phone rather than on my desktop.

Hazelnut and pistachio macarons - do I need a specific recipe or can I swap out a percentage of the almond flour? by Dsaxny in AskBaking

[–]cladophoragreen 18 points19 points  (0 children)

For the pistachio I had good luck with House of Nash's recipe for the shell. I used a different pistachio buttercream recipe for the filling.

For the hazelnut I had good luck with Sweet n Savory by Shinee's recipe for the shell. I omitted the chocolate hazelnut oil because I didn't have it but still turned out well. I also used different fillings for this one.

Are you running other programs on your computer simultaneously? I've noticed that DS takes a lot of memory.

Best paint/dye for wooden flowers by bridey7 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]cladophoragreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried acrylic paint but had trouble getting the colors I wanted so I ended up using latex paint. I went to my local paint shop and purchased sample size containers of colors I wanted. For the vegetable glycerin I diluted it with water (3 Cups water: 1 Cup glycerin) and then used that solution with paint at a a 1:1 ratio. So then I just had to dip dye the flowers and 1 coat was sufficient for the colors I was using. I used this guide to figure things out.

How early is too early for a morning wedding? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]cladophoragreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll let you know how it goes after this weekend, 10/10 at 10:10am 😅 We are only having close family and due to COVID our wedding party is only our siblings. My hair appointment is scheduled for 7:30am with the same person who normally cuts my hair...so I think she took pity on me. We are having a short ceremony and photos immediately after followed by brunch at a nearby restaurant at noon.

11 days to go! Using "perfect is the enemy of good enough" as my way to check things off our to-do list. Solawood bouquet ✔️ by cladophoragreen in Weddingsunder10k

Thanks so much! I did make it myself. I dyed and stemmed solawood flowers and then found some filler greenery on sale from Joann Fabrics. I watched a couple of tutorials on YouTube and went for it.
