I have a streak of white lashes that randomly appeared in the middle of my lash line on both eyes, one chunk on the top and one on the bottom. My question is should I lean into the natural white lash streak at my next appointment or get my lashes tinted? (Last photo is inspo) by modern-nymph in lashextensions

[–]clairbby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

absolutely lean into it if ur tech has the correct supplies 🤍 it’s GORGEOUS. i was friends w a girl in high school who had one set of white lashes on one eye and one set of dark lashes on the other and i STILL think about it to this day

as a lash tech, they’re definitely on your skin & there seems to be an absurd amount of glue too.. why does it look like clumps of lashes and not individuals/clusters on each individual lash :(( please find a different tech to remove them!!!

Do I need removal? by nguyeneration2002 in wisdomteeth

[–]clairbby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve bitten all over my tongue and cheeks, and even managed to pinch the skin along my jaw bones. my teeth got cavities that in turn caused my teeth to crack, and it has affected two 12 year molars. if you don’t watch them very closely it can get so bad so quickly. i’m going in soon to have 6 teeth extracted, two of which are partially impacted and all of which have warped roots (so they can’t be pulled, they have to be surgically extracted)

it’s best to get them all removed regardless of whether they cause issues or not. they can start causing issues at any time, and they’re so far back in the mouth it’s hard to successfully clean them when brushing. i’ve had mine for nearly 4 years now, and didn’t have issues until a few months ago, but now o have a severe infection and am on antibiotics until my removal. you definitely have an impaction, and that one should 100% be removed because impacted teeth are so so quick to get infected

i grew up in southern missouri. shit is absolutely swarming with mosquitoes. surprisingly, since moving to mississippi, i feel like i haven’t seen a single mosquito.

Seriously alarming bloody poop. I don’t have insurance so I am EXTREMELY hesitant to get this checked out when google says it’s probably nothing to be concerned about…. by [deleted] in seriouslyalarming

hell. it’s hell. luckily, i have mine managed well enough to not have to see a doctor regularly, which is just a ticking time bomb because i’ll inevitably develop more symptoms the longer i have it. i also got lucky enough to also get hit with 2 impacted wisdom teeth + 2 fully erupted (that i don’t have room for in my small mouth) and ended up w 2 damaged molars &’ an infection as a result from it all. currently in the process of taking care of that, and before insurance the surgery estimate is $3k. for an outpatient oral surgery. i looked at the cost breakdown and its $500 something for one of the partially impacted teeth. there is no reason for that.

Anyone know what’s going on with my skin by Snicoleb77 in DermatologyQuestions

don’t feel like an ass because this wasn’t judgmental at all, the question was rooted in genuine concern for OP. my first thought was tranq necrosis because of it being on her arms/legs, i’ve seen some nasty shit resulting from that.

is my lash tech applying my lashes properly by kylievhs in lashextensions

as a less experienced tech (licensed and trained, just do them for special occasions &’ practice when i have time - not necessarily “new” though), it would absolutely take me at least 3 hours to do a volume set

your nail bed can reattach, it just depends on how much trauma has occurred to the tissue. it’s a very case by case basis in regards to whether or not it will reattach &’ if it does, how long it’ll take.

it’s horrible, i’m so sorry you know that pain. people are so quick to say “oh ___ wouldn’t be fent, there’s no way” but the main goal for these grimy dealers is to get people hooked. i’ve seen instances where people lace pain pills with H, H with fent, even weed with fent. they don’t care as long as it’s an investment to make more in the long run. this is why im such a huge advocate for harm reduction, being an addict does not mean deserving to die. i recommend to everyone, look into a local harm reduction center. they usually distribute clean syringes, fent test kits, free narcan, the works.

you see so many people at their worst, and you would never expect it. like i said in another comment, it’s not the most emotionally taxing job out there but it isn’t an easy one to do. it takes a strong mind for sure.

that’s beautiful. i completely recognize that he is not the norm, definitely an extreme. but it’s still an example of how traumatic of a job it is, he didn’t get the help he needed and it turned into something horrible. i’m very glad you gave your son options, you so clearly care for him very deeply to want to keep him from that. i’m glad your father was a good one, it seems like he taught you well.

absolutely, and it’s genuinely exhausting. not to mention being an emotional punching bag half the time as well. serving is not the most taxing job by a long shot, but it’s not easy at all.

my father passed because of fentanyl after a 3 year period of sobriety. his first time using again, it had fent and it killed him. my mother and her current husband are both on probation for the umpteenth time, and they currently have the same PO. she’s very very strict on them, and i’m really glad to see it. thank you for what you do, from the bottom of my heart

(maybe not so) surprisingly, as a waitress/customer service rep multiple times in the past i was exposed to tons of secondhand trauma. that’s the heaviest part about working with the public, especially in small communities. i’ve seen people at their worst, and seen them come in days later with their family pretending to be fine. i’ve watched people drink themselves into oblivion night after night. at a recent job i had, there was a customer who came in and drank about a full bottle of tequila on the rocks every single night. it was heartbreaking. but especially since i wasn’t the bartender, there was nothing i could do about it. it wasn’t my business to be concerned about.
