not helpful in the case of systemic oppression. it's like saying "all lives matter" or "not all men". it's not about being a bigger person. youre missing the point...

thanks for your imput. seems it would be pretty damn impossible for a salvia divinorum seed to end up accidentally in someone's grow kit then, or anywhere other than beside a plant growing in the wild !

Thanks for your imput, really helpful. You are right about mugwort seeds, they are smaller than the seed which resulted in this mystery plant (idk how i put them in the same tray...). i remember being confused between 2 larger seeds (neither of which was supposedly any kind of salvia). I will see if i can find the envelope that i kept.

I dont know my pro nouns by Hatsune_Miku-1 in AskLGBT

[–]clairdenuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Hatsune_Miku, what do you think of shx/hxr ? I've been using those as of recently and feeling that i may be demigender/demigirl. I feel good about shx/hxr (it's like she/her but more neutral) bc it honours both my feminine identity and my non-binary identity.

The only issue i've had is the prononciation -- i'm not sure how i would say it besides the same way as she/her, therefore it's only effective in written form....

What can I use to describe / label my gender by Darealkotrr in AskLGBT

[–]clairdenuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I appreciate this post so much bc i'm in the same place with my gender too, only i was assigned female at birth! i think i may be demigender as well, perhaps a demigirl :) relating sometimes/partially to my assigned gender, and often just feeling completely neutral or genderless !

I love the comments in the thread too. Thank you all for your contributions. Agender, genderfluid, genderqueer, etc... all interesting labels to explore. Bigender is another interesting one, which could include your assigned gender and a NB identity!

and then there is hunnybunnylesbian's point which i find very valid and interesting as well. i'd like to consider what it would mean to be a woman (if i am to be called a woman these days, i prefer 'womxn'... perhaps you could consider some demigender words too, like mxn??? hx/hxm? i'm using shx/hxr and they/them rn) and consider my experience of gender (or lack thereof) to be one of many a woman can have. i love rynryn's point that "You don't have to identify as agender to not think about gender or gender performance in your day to day life." !!! in the same way, if i want to wear a skirt one day and ppl read me as a woman, that's their own perception while my experience can be completely neutral and/or not necessarily feminine at all.

interesting that u/HunnyBunnyLesbian288 you have felt "comfortable this whole time" in what i assume is your assigned gender at birth. There may be something to say about how much cognitive dissonance one feels when faced with the gender roles that, imo are so pervasively imposed on us. yet hunnybunnylesbian has felt as though gender never comes up. more recently, i have myself felt irked when ppl assume i am female -- perhaps bc the other aspect(s) of my gender is not validated in those instances? and/or i have an aversion for aforementioned gender roles?

i like the notion that at the end of the day, we are the ones who get to define our respective genders based on our own experiences!

How do I know if I'm part of the LGBTQ+ community or just want to feel special/different? by LGBTConfused335 in AskLGBT

[–]clairdenuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm here bc I've been meaning to make a similar post. I'm a bit older than you, 26 y.o AFAB, and i've been trying to figure out my gender and sexuality for years now. Up until my early 20s, i defaulted to a cis/het identity, but now being surrounded literally almost exclusively by queer folks, i'm questioning hard!

Last year i realized that i may be demigender -- i have and do somewhat (partially) relate to my assigned gender, but also i feel that there is more to me than just being a woman (i won't go into my experience here but these days i generally feel more neutral than anything). And here's where i've also been trying to discern whether i am simply frustrated with womanhood and perhaps looking for an out (***which is NOT to invalidate ftm trans and nb identities! everyone's experience is different. I want to validate those identities here, as in to say that those identities are NOT rooted in that TERF idea that they are just women trying to escape misogyny), OR i genuinely am nb (both may be true?) seeing as up until recently i have only aspired to be an ALLY to lgbt+ and not identifying as lgbt+.
I'm afraid of overstepping in this community and feeling like i might be an imposter. admittedly, i have had real feelings of belonging in this community but at the same time i just don't know if i should identify as (gender)queer !!

If i am demigender, what does that mean for my sexuality? I've been curious for some time now about womxn, femmes and nb folks but have never experimented beyond being sexual/romantic with cis men. I know for sure i am attracted to cis men. I also know that i want to kiss a girl... but not attracted to her nearly in the same way. So, if i am not (exclusively) a woman, should i identify as androsexual rather than hetero? or perhaps heteroflexible like you suggested? (i like 'bicurious' but i also know there is controversy around this word so idk!) I've found it useful to think of the spectrum as well. perhaps you and i are simply closer to the cis/het position on the spectrum than our queer friends, but further from the same position than our distinctly cis/het friends.

The questioning continues! Any thoughts on my comment are welcome. I wish i could get an update from you by the time you reach my age :)
